We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomThe whole hotel is a bit dated, so it would be good to see some modernisation (or at least redecoration). The wooden headboards in every room we’ve stayed in are really uncomfortable too.
We’ve stayed at El Cid a number of times over the years as the value for money & location are incomparable to any other offerings in Sitges.

United KingdomNo regative reviews. The air-conditioning is tricky to turn on but once you ask reception they show you how to turn it on properly. It worked very well throughout our whole stay. With some of the negative reviews we saw before coming we wondered if we just got lucky. Over all a very comfortable stay.
We thought the rooms were much smaller than the pictures. We had a good sized room. Clean. Breakfast was decent. Location was right in the middle of town but far enough that it was quiet. Pool was clean.

United StatesAlthough the photos on Booking.com showed what we thought was a walk-in shower, we were checked into an attic room with a bathtub and shower, which we didn’t want due to mobility issues. As it turns out, the photo was taken of the shower doors above the bathtub so the bathtub didn’t show, which was very misleading. The hotel should post a different photo giving a more accurate view. Fortunately we arrived at the earliest check-in time and reception was able to move us to a room with a shower only. Overall our stay was good, only because this problem was able to be dealt with when we arrived early, otherwise things could have been different. Again, the hotel should change this photo as it’s very misleading.

United Kingdom11 sunbeds and 2 umbrella is certainly not enough. They can have 20 people around the pool Gentlemen on reception 2 June @1800hrs was rude and arrogant we asked for a 45 minute room extension. He told us the hotel was fall that night. I. The morning we found out he lied and there was 21 rooms available ! Lift was broken for 3 days.
