Although the photos on Booking.com showed what we thought was a walk-in shower, we were checked into an attic room with a bathtub and shower, which we didn’t want due to mobility issues. As it turns out, the photo was taken of the shower doors above the bathtub so the bathtub didn’t show, which was very misleading. The hotel should post a different photo giving a more accurate view. Fortunately we arrived at the earliest check-in time and reception was able to move us to a room with a shower only. Overall our stay was good, only because this problem was able to be dealt with when we arrived early, otherwise things could have been different. Again, the hotel should change this photo as it’s very misleading.

11 sunbeds and 2 umbrella is certainly not enough. They can have 20 people around the pool Gentlemen on reception 2 June @1800hrs was rude and arrogant we asked for a 45 minute room extension. He told us the hotel was fall that night. I. The morning we found out he lied and there was 21 rooms available ! Lift was broken for 3 days.

Our room unfortunately was on the side of the main road.

What we liked the most is the location. Close to the train and bus station, city center and the sea. Stuff were very helpfull and welcoming.

Great location. Bathroom updated from our last stay a few years ago - clean and modern. Bed very comfortable. Plentiful breakfast. El Sid is a solid and safe stay. Great reception staff. Sunny pool. Can’t beat the central location.

Breakfast is usually great bacon and sausage to under cooked for me so I did not have a lot to eat but still slot of choices and they need to update the tvs with some English channels as one of are friends fell ill and the tv was worthless!

We have stayed there many times and like the continuity of the premises. Not pretentious in any way. The staff are very pleasant and friendly - reception, cleaning staff and breakfast room assistants.

There was a horrible smell in the bathroom. If I closed the bathroom door, I couldn't smell it in the bedroom but the bathroom drains were bad.

We have stayed here before whilst attending an exhibition in Barcelona. The hotel is conveniently positioned just a short walk from the railway station with connections to the Exhibition Centre in under one hour. It is also an easy walk to the to the shops and the beach. There is a great selection of shops and places to eat. The hotel is clean and the staff are very helpful. The breakfast was very good with a great selection of cooked and cold options, fresh bread, yoghurts, fruit and pastries.

The room - considered to be sufficient for two - was a bit on the tiny side. The interior - apart from the huge bed - consisted of a very small secretaire and a small refigerator.

The whole affaire is - probably - from the 1950 or so - but well kept. It has the charme of a combination of Finca/old english countryhouse and ship cabin style. The bathroom was top modern. Breakfast was laid out lavishly - the place to dig in has got the style and charme of a 1960 train buffet (actually none at all). The bed was huge.... The POOOOL!!!!!! Small, but well kept and highly convenient.

1 start hotel...... I don't know how this was rated? Comparable to every 3* and many 4*. Super staff, large room, old look enchantment, great buffet breakfast, nice pool and very helpful front desk staff... morning and evening. That you to both who gave us help and advice
