Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaOur room card was deactivated on our last day though we hadn’t checked out yet. Had to go back down to reception to activate the room card. At reception, another couple had the same problem. Both of our room cards were activated/resolved at reception. Why deactivate the room card when people haven’t checked out yet? Our luggages/belongings are still in the room!
Very close to retail shops and transport. Airport bus is about a 4 minute walk with luggages! Very helpful staff. Thank you Petronella for helping us sort out our cancelled flight with Iberia. We appreciated it very much!

The staff were great. The fruit and wine in the room were a pleasant surprise. The breakfast offerings far exceeded expectations.

All the staff are approachable and helpful. Our room is cleaned daily and they are consistent in putting refills on what is missing in the room so it is so satisfying to come back and rest after a long tiresome day of tour. Breakfast has a lot of variety and is tasty. Perfect location and is accessible to anything - metro, bus, shopping centre, restaurants, and attractions.

CanadaWe arrived on Saturday during the Merci Festival. Needless to say, there was much celebration until late hours of night. It was 3:00 am and music was just ending and the early start for exercise event with booming music first thing in am was challenging when we were so tired . Trying to get some sleep was impossible as insulation of building obviously poor. Probably not same people participating in all night celebration and then early am excerise! The celebration with booming sound penetrated through our room from outside.:By Tuesday night it was much quieter and sleep was much needed and appreciated . Despite the fact we came at a busy celebration time, our overall experience was very positive!
Excellent location of hotel. We travelled from Canada so when we arrived we were jet lagged and fatigued. Staff were excellent. Very friendly, helpful and accommodating!

United Statesnot the hotels fault but our backpack got stolen and all our documents were in bag. We were headed to airport. We had our bag between us. must keep bag on front of body and if you put it down tie it or lock to chair. Many pickpockets. Once again not hotels fault but just not the safest place.
