Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomAllocated a family room (double bed and what seemed to be a child's bed) on arrival for three male adults. Totally unsuitable. We were told by reception staff that the few triple rooms they have tend to be allocated on arrival rather than when booked. Completely unacceptable as we booked in February for a stay in August. They were was able to put up a third bed in a different twin room. We then moved to a triple room 2 days later. Triple room consisted of twin beds plus a chaise lounge. Not sure if this is their standard arrangement but it is not ideal. Management did compensate us well. Room triple occupancy supplement reimbursed, free breakfast throughout stay, free cava and chocolate. Moral of story be wary when booking a triple room for three adults at this hotel or potentially any in the same chain. Hotel bar could have been open slightly later (midnight). Nowhere in the immediate vicinity for a later night drink. Breakfast hot plates not kept warm enough. Same throughout stay even though we did inform staff.
Properly allocated rooms were on smaller side but sufficient for short stay (see what we didn't like). Breakfast plenty of choice. Hot and cold items plus choice of freshly cooked eggs. Plunge pool and terrace although not the biggest is ideal for a relax at end of day, Pool towels supplied by reception. Hotel location was good. Close to metro stations and within reasonable walking distance of Las Ramblas.
