Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyCasanaga is a very special place to stay where everyone is made to feel welcome and included. The hostel is run by Ollie and his team of volunteers who put their heart and soul into the day to day running and ongoing development of the hostel. A morning yoga class with a sea view and a diverse buffet breakfast are included and for 10 EUR you can also eat dinner there - these meals were a highlight of my stay. The beds were comfy and the whole hostel was cleaned thoroughly every day. During my stay I took part in various activities such as beachvolleyball, karaoke and a massage workshop. Most guests were solo travellers or pairs which made for a great social atmosphere. Many guests ended up extending their stay as one night is not enough here. Casanaga delivers everything you could wish for from a hostel and more!

SlovakiaWe were only in Casanage for one night, but we left with the best feeling and beautiful memories. Everyone was nice and friendly, the atmosphere there is priceless, not to mention the beautiful surroundings and the view from the terrace. We had a little problem with the reservation, but Ollie solved it right away and accommodated us with everything. Thank you again and we hope it wasn't the last time in Casanga. ❤️ and guys, when you think about whether go or not, you definitely do!

GermanyWe had a beautiful room next to the ocean. We slept so good with the noise of the waves on the comfy bed. The host Ollie and all the helpers were very welcoming and helpful. The Yoga sessions on the roof and the breakfast afterwards were a perfect start into the day! We also liked the activities which were organized, such as Volleyball at the beach or a jointly dinner in the local bar of the village. We will definitely come again one time.

United StatesOur stay at Casanaga was magical. Ollie & the volunteers have truly created a special place in a small town that’s perfect for hiking, surfing, going to the beach, and enjoying good company. The property is absolutely beautiful, comfortable, and all of our needs (including food and cheap beers!) were accommodated for. I could not recommended this property enough!

FranceI loved everything about this place
I stayed there 2 nights but so wished I could have stayed longer. The location is incredible, and I loved the vibe of the place, so relaxed and chill. The bed in the dorm was perfect and had all you could wish for (privacy curtains, a bedside table with a light, and a shelf to store your belongings). Ollie the owner is very welcoming and caring, he instantly makes you feel at home. All the volunteers were friendly. Breakfast was by far the best I had in a hostel, and I really enjoyed the yoga class. I had a great time there and met amazing people, and now I only want to go back!

Netherlandsthat I could only stay 3 nights !!
This place, its people, simply the best on Tenerife! Ollie and his staff have created a vibe where everybody will feel a warm welcome at a top location with the sound of the wave breaking below. The roof top terrace is the social heart of Casanaga. Early morning yoga sessions, then a great breakfast with the amazing views over the ocean... In the evening people meet again, mingle and exchange experiences of the day. The staff makes a great dinner .. Simply a great atmosphere enriched not only by the guests but also the young dedicated volunteers that work at Casanaga. I planned to stay for one night and in the end stayed for 3! Had a wonderfully rewarding and enjoyable experience. Ollie and his staff are not seasoned hotel professionals but they get it. They have an innate understanding of what hospitality means! Wish you many more happy clients and I'm sure you'll have them. Best of luck to all.

United KingdomRecent changeover in ownership, think they were working out a few things. Could have done with a few more kitchen essentials. Not able to have fire or cook on balcony, which is because of the smoke which I get but would have been nice.
Beautiful location with great view from the balcony. Comfortable and spacious. Host was very helpful. Would definitely stay again. The area is stunning for hiking and going to the beach.

DenmarkThe place was a bit hard to find and it is important to be aware that it is placed up in the village itself.
The apartment we booked was unexpectedly without terrace. For us it would have been disastrous but the host saved the stay by offering another nice apartment with a fine narrow terrace and a fabulous view. The village is small but greater than it seems and quite interesting to walk around. The people there was very welcoming and there is a nice little food shop with a friendly female staff. The local restaurant is not especially cheap towards tourists for the very basic food and the beer is well payed for. Choose instead to walk a bit further cross the cliffs to have delicious dinner on Restaurante La Ola by the road

Czech RepublicA few details could be improved. There were no options to separate waste, and we didn't know where to throw plastics or paper. We missed a functional frying pan to prepare food. The humidity heavily damaged the window curtains.
Casanaga has above all a great location. You have to take a gorgeous mountain road to get there, it is right above the ocean, and in a proximity to the natural park Anaga. The host told us everything we needed to know and kept in touch. The apartman had a great bed, a microwave, a kettle, towels, and a hairdryer. Overall, I would recommend this accommodation. Sidenote: Make sure to bring zip bags and other protective options for your clothes and electronics, especially for longer stays in such proximity to the ocean. Our clothes were wet for days. This is obviously nothing negative on behalf of the accommodation. You just have to count on it. :)

BelgiumI wish we had booked the apartment with the terrace on top, maybe for next time!
Wonderful place for people who enjoy quiet places and going trekking. There are a lot of nice routes around and a very nice beach (Playa de Benijo) not too far away. The apartment was very clean (impressively so) and spacious with everything you would need. We did not get to meet the host for very long but he seemed like a very nice person (it's better if you can speak a bit of Spanish).

Spainvery nice appartment right on the ocean, in a tiny pueblo. very quiet. we loved it , it was very clean and nicely decorated the terrasse was amazing . the place was confortable. it has all the ustansals for cooking. , fast wifi. we had no problem of communication with the owner who help us when we arrived to find the place. people in the village are really nice. there is a tiny bar restaurante and a little supermarket which sells the essentials. otherwise it s better to do a big shopping in al campo or carrefour in santa cruz. around the area there is a multitude of hiking trails and some of the best beaches of Tenerife( benijo). it is important to like the quiet and peacefulness to appriciate the place. it s not vibrant like santa cruz or the south of the island. but it s paradisiac for who like trekking.

Italythe Wi-Fi was a bit jumpy at times - but we’re at the end of the world really, and most of the times it worked fine
the location is great, at night you only hear the sound of the ocean! The apartment was small but nice and clean (totally my fault but I was expecting a sea view and a terrace from the reviews I read, while the room I booked didn’t have any - just check what you’re booking!)

PolandThat I have to come back home 😉
Everything was just perfect 🥰 we are amazed by this place and people ♥️ The owner is very friendly and helpful 😊 This is really heaven, specially if you want just to relax, explore and feel local life without chaos and crowded noisy atmosphere 😊 You have everything you need to relax and enjoy the life. Ideal location, small village on the rocks with bar and shop and helpful smiling people around. We took Pentheus on the roof with gorgeous terrace that has the most stunning view....ocean and rocks and the beautiful sky. If you love to watch the stars and take photos you are in the best place. Lovely Spanish style appartement 🥰 you can watch the ocean even from the shower!!🥰 Near by you have many beautiful beaches ( we recommend Playa de Benijo) And you will eat every day delisuos, fresh dinner just from the ocean cause there are many restaurants there. Prices are much better then south.... But at the and of the day you will wait to be back on that terrace♥️ We definitely want to come back ♥️ Highly recommended ♥️

Liked the quiet location, quaint village setting, very rural and picturesque. We had fabulous sea and mountain views from the terrace of the apartment we had booked. Comfortable and nicely decorated place. Some nice restaurants nearby you can walk to but it is very hilly, they can be reached by car. And there is a small village shop for the essentials.
