Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe were in apartment 2; You do hear some noise from the other apartments but we didn’t find it intrusive. The Wi-Fi didn’t work in our apartment (but we didn’t need it to)
Amazing views. The apartment is Clean and comfortable with washing machine, hob (no oven) and enough crockery and cutlery. The bedroom and bathroom are large and airy, very comfortable beds. The villagers is on a hill so be ready for slopes. We parked our motorbikes by the gate which is fairly flat and we could have parked them in the garden but didn’t feel the need. There are some flatter spaces nearby too. You need to go to the bar/restaurant Chili to check in so go straight there first. They also have a small shop with basics and do very nice food all day, breakfast onwards. It’s only one minute walk from the apartments.

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing.
Beautiful village, collect the key for the apartment from chilli bar who will show you to your apartment. There are a few apartments, we were in number 4 which unfortunately did not have the spectacular views of the mountains across, well only from the bedroom and bathroom windows. A small outside yard with patio furniture. The owners were very welcoming and showed where we could park our motorcycle within the garden. Lovely food at bar chilli, great stay and brilliant riding all on the doorstep

United KingdomOne of my favourite places I've ever stayed, so almost nothing I'd change. The kitchen is not that well stocked - could do with a couple of deeper cereal bowls, another serving bowl, a chopping board, bread board, sharper knife. There are no condiments/oil: bring everything - but the owners have a little shop with essentials, so don't worry if you've forgotten anything. Supermarkets in Cangas and Arriondas. Bakery in the next village on the main road down below. There's a lovely big mokka pot.
Second time staying here. Last time we got home and immediately starting planning when we could come back. It's perfection. We stayed in La Riba A - the red house. Sitting in the little garden at the metal table, looking out over this impossible view of near vertical slopes opposite, listening to the river tumbling far below, picking out intrepid goats navigating the crags across the valley, listening for the distant tinkle of their bells, eating local ham and tomato salads, watching for vultures or eagles circling the peaks, swifts screaming past as they play on the breeze, stars coming out as the twilight arrives and the lights of the next village, snuggled in the crook of the hills, flickering on. The view from the little garden, and from the main bedroom, are actual paradise. It's even lovely when it rains because there's a lip around the house you can sit under and listen to the rain like it's a meditation soundtrack. If you get a thunderstorm, it's epic. This is one of those places that is so good, there's a part of me that would rather not tell people about it so I could keep it all for myself, but I've told you now, so you should go. I'd buy this house if I could.

NetherlandsThe matras of the twin bed in master bedroom is a bit hard. The two separate beds have softer matrasses. There is WiFi in the house, but we had some trouble connecting to it. These are just minor things, we really enjoyed our stay!
Gorgeous location in a quiet and peaceful area of picos d'europa. The view from the house is impressive, and the staff is friendly. The yellow house where we stayed is great with a kitchen/ living room downstairs and two bedrooms + shower on the first floor. We ate outside on the terrace and enjoyed the views.

United StatesThis is one of the best stays I have ever had in my life. The views are STUNNING, the place itself has incredible views that are supported by the way the outside of the house is as well. I will be back as soon as I can! Also, warm fires all day and night, a cute bar with great locals, homemade cooking, and essentially anything you could ask for could be done for you. I couldn't have created a better experience if I dreamed it myself.

United Kingdomeverything was perfect, but make a note that there was no oven in our cottage, if you plan to cook.
Everything was perfect. Apart from the most fascinating view, the cottage was of a nice size, had conformable double bed, nice soft sofa, very good shower with hot water, well equipped kitchen (but no oven). we loved our fire place and enjoyed our coffee in a small garden with table and chairs. The location was perfect for our purpose: close proximity to two natural parks. the hosts are very nice people who did everything to make our stay even more perfect.

SpainThe furniture is just fine for this type of apartment, but I have a bad back so I couldn't spend too long reading on the sofa--better to be outside hiking anyway
Sames is a little village on a hillside about 10 km north of Cangas de Onis. Beautiful green mountains all around, and very quiet, apart from crickets, roosters and the occaisonal barking dog. We spent 6 of our 7 days taking hikes within 30 minutes' drive, the prettiest of which can be done starting from the apartment. The owners have a little bar, which is a nice option when you don't want to cook, but if not you can pick up some groceries in the Día supermarket on the north side of Cangas de Onis. We had a smaller studio apartment, which was west-facing (looking uphill as opposed to the larger units behind us with views of the valley) and at first felt a little claustrophobic on the outside porch, but by the second day I was enjoying the views despite the retaining wall. Nothing beats being in the country in this area, and it was excellent value for the money.

SpainNothing.
The casa was perfect, large living area with kitchen facilities, upstairs bedroom and bathroom, fabulous shower. All very clean and comfortable with our own garden and seating area. The village is quiet and Casa Chili is the have b of the village. We thoroughly enjoyed the food from the bar, Felix and Sari are brilliant hosts. The village locals and other visitors were very friendly too. Fabulous holiday.
