Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe double bed had one long pillow instead of two for two people.
The property is gorgeous and well worth a relaxing stay. Breakfast was good but average for Spain.

NetherlandsWe only stayed one night and had to leave before breakfast. Our stay was too short...
It has a fairytale atmosphere, where you can relax while wandering the property with its fruit trees and bushes. The property itself is lovely, rustic, comfortable and very clean.

GermanyThe drive in was a bit hard to find, but I still managed. The wifi also dropped in and out a bit.
It’s incredibly beautiful, calm and peaceful. The staff (shout out to Sonia) were very good communicators before and during my stay. I felt very welcome. I was offered a free upgrade away from noisier guests and my dietary requirements were catered to well.

SpainThere was no dinner service on the night we stayed and we had to go into Cieza, most restaurants were closed on a tuesday night. we ended up with a very poor dinner. Also, the shower in one of the rooms was not hooked up for the main shower head and when we touched it it was not even secured and was very unstable. That was a bit disappointing. Also, no coffee until 9:30 when the breakfast was to be served.
Beautiful location, grounds, pool, place.

SpainA fantastic hotel in the middle of the country, perfect for disconnecting. Surrounded by trees, beautiful gardens with pool and spectacular views to the mountains. Our room, 9, was spacious, tastefully decorated and with a reliable wi-fi connection. Many thanks also to the hotel staff, Sonia and Laura, who were highly professional, courteous and very helpful in making our stay such a relaxing experience. Finally, the hotel breakfast (Spanish style not English) is recommendable and excellent value coming with a wide variety of options - cold cuts, fresh fruit, etc.

SpainThe wifi was not very good
I think we were the only guests there at the moment, so I could decide for my self, at what time I would like to have breakfast (between 8.30and 11). The breakfast was very good. A bit expensive though. Everything was very beautiful. The house was very nicely decorated. The big garden is very beautiful with a lot of trees and flowers. Free parking near the house The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was also spacious and nicely decorated. The room would be even better, if there had been a small fridge to keep your water/beer cold, because there is nowhere to buy cold drinks.

SpainNo reception on site after 7pm first room n° 8 the worst bed in the world woke up in a bad way with my back. Nothing in site after 7 pm no drinks tea water nothing, the web page says do not take food or anything with you! There was a mini bar in rec room for everyone to try and cool a drink Impossible and at 32° it's necessary. So no snacks ni drinks and the bed was terrible in the room 8. in general little sparse no chairs to speak of in the rooms Then the t.v. didn't work just interference and noise, then l saw another person/guest and nine of the t.v. work. Dirty inside cup oard drawers. Breakfast is plain and the same more that 2 times and l would go out for it. The last part of road to the Hotel is for tractors not cars.
Beautiful place lovely gardens and historic. Pool area. Nice room.

SwitzerlandNobody is there. Needed to wait in front of the gate, had to call several times. Once I was in, nobody was there either. By chance a young guy (gardener?) went by and called a young girl. She finally let me in and disappeared. The older lady at breakfast was unfriendly. The house, even though so beautiful, seems soul less, since nobody, who cares, is there. Not recommended for solo travellers.
Wonderful location, stunning manor, tastefully decorated, beautiful rooms. Very nice pool, comfortable sun beds.
