Unique lifetime adventure - our Cave Home

When you drive up there for the first time it may be a bit intimidating, but actually any drive around Tenerife is scarier than the road to the cave. It takes around 20min to reach the highway, and some parts are up/down hill, but at any point you dont cross cliffs like in other parts of the island (it was 100x times scarier to drive up to Masca than to our Cueva). So don't get discouraged. At the beginning of our stay we were afraid that it would be hard to drive up there in the night, but it's not so bad, you can easily drive in the night also.

Casa Cueva Gaspara is beyond anything you can expect! Staying and living in an actual cave, far away from everything and in complete peace... We knew where we were going, but still, we never imagined the adventure we were getting into. Really unique holidays! Our 5yo had the time of his life, he is still talking about "our cave home". The cave has everything you need and more, even board games and toys for kids. The bonus - amazing hosts! Very helpful and kind, and Yoli is an amazing cook! :) And the nights are amazing - you can almost touch the stars!

Absolutely a great place to stay, especially with children. This is what sustainable accommodation means. Doesn't get any quieter than this. Feels remote, but 10 min to town and 20 min from highway. Road isn't that bad. Lovely host, that allowed us to collect fresh eggs. Very tidy and cozy living room with a fireplace. Stunning sunrises above clouds.

The road is a bit annoying, but you have to get up there somehow, so it is something to get used to. Get more groceries to avoid driving up and down! During our stay there was a lot of windy days, but that’s not property’s fault. And evenings are chilly, but it’s normal for that altitude. These minuses are not dealbreakers.

At first we were a bit shocked how far away it was, but when we got used to the complete privacy, silence and the view, we didn’t want to leave. It is a great experience and we would go back there. Enjoyed the fireplace in the evening and everything inside is very cozy and nicely decorated. We have rented very different accommodations in Tenerife, but never a cave house before, happy that we tried. We were greeted with wine and some eco products, that was very nice surprise! Hostess is always available by message, answering wright away.

The road to get to the house is a little rough. It takes about 15/20 minutes to get to the highway. The tranquillity and peace of the place is surely worth all of the above!

Very cute and cosy apartment in the middle of the mountains. Superb view, tranquillity and nice hikes in the area. The very kind host left us some local produce like eggs, potatoes and manyn other ingredients for a first great dinner at home. Perfect place if you are looking to be surrounded by nature and disconnect from the busy touristic places!

    Nothing at all!

Our host, Yoli was the best we could ever hope for. She thought of every tiny detail! We went with our baby and she went out of her way to provide us with a baby bath, a cot, toys and a potty. Other amazing details included a basket of local produce and home made wine when we arrived. The views were absolutely incredible and felt really special and magical!

First of all this is not a hotel complex next to the ocean!!! But that was exactly what we were looking for. Unconventional cozy accommodation complemented by pets, mostly friendly cat "Lala" :) Accommodation was clean, cozy with all the necessary equipment (except washing machine). Outdoor terrace with ocean views, seating options and even sun loungers with pool. Count on the fact that you are at an altitude of about 1000mnm,which means changeable weather. The road from the highway is really adventurous and quite distant so we definitely recommend only for guests with the possibility of a car. The host was very nice. We agreed on everything even though our Spanish and her English were minimal :) Thank you for this unforgettable accommodation !!!

driving to that place are really complicated… scary, bumpi, not very save. At we night all the time we didnt have electricity - strange ( when you all day are somewhere and come back just for sleep and charge your phone). In my opinion price to high for that place. Also to many cats there and that all the time miau abit annoy . In one sleeping room previously cats pee probably..so, that room smells terrible.. :(

Nice host, everything what you need too stay there you will get. Salt, pepper, coffee, tea, washing machine with all staff and ect. Pretty clean place and alot of staff what you can use. Nice pets.
