Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe terrace off our room had a view of the Alhambra! Just beautiful! And they delivered a bottle of champagne to help us celebrate our travels!

South AfricaNothing. Only that I heard a tiny bit of noise in the morning as I was in one of the bottom rooms.
Wonderful. Beautiful. Felt like a princess. This 17th century grand mansion boasts the original frescos. It was owned by noblemen, then the military? Then abandoned and took 11 years to restore. Wow! The best hotel experience. The only thing missing was fluffy slippers lol. Wonderful products, quality free coffee and water bottles all day, fluffy gowns. Gilded need. Walls convered in silk damask. Wonderful lady called Carmen who runs the kitchen . Sumptuous breakfast. Best pastries in all of Spain.

United StatesMy air conditioning chugged along and did virtually nothing. Thankfully, the weather was cool enough to open windows in the early evening and morning to knock the temperature down. I asked the front desk to have maintenance check it and/or change my room on my first night (a Sunday). They said that maintenance was unavailable, but they'd have it checked Monday morning. They called me Monday by lunch to tell me that the maintenance turned up the fan speed, but that the temperature could not be adjusted as it was centrally controlled by the hotel and was at its lowest allowable temperature. WHEN I CHECKED OUT, the front desk apologized that maintenance had not been available to see it for the entire 3 day stay. WHICH ONE IS IT? The afternoon snacks are meant to satisfy a "tea time" atmosphere, but fall short. Maybe it would be better to offer wine and tapas in the early evening instead? The breakfast was overpriced with little in the way of warm items. The biggest issue, however, was the lack of good coffee. For the price paid, they need to offer cafe con leche instead of a Nespresso machine that I can have at home. Note: only one room seems to have an Alhambra view and private patio. Not sure I would stay there again.
The location of this hotel is unbeatable and the building is truly charming, a beautiful, character-filled location. In fact, it is so lovely and full of history that I bumped into a tour visiting the courtyard. The staff, particularly the ladies at the front desk and the breakfast manager, were wonderful - engaging and kind. My room, a junior suite, was spacious. The hotel gifted a bottle of cava on the first night. The courtyard is gorgeous. It has great potential.

CanadaI needed an extra night so I stayed in both a Deluxe Room and Superior Room.... I'm just gonna say... book the Deluxe Room!! It's worth the price! Several little things made it really worth it!
This was SUCH a beautiful hotel!!! And at the price even more so! The decor was so gorgeous and added to my enjoyment of Granada! It felt so luxurious. :) I even enjoyed a bath one night. The breakfast was as delicious and amazing as other reviewers said. And the Deluxe Room has these beautiful smelling lotions and soaps. I loved it! And there's bath robes! I was a bit torn between staying in the hotel all day vs. exploring the city. ;)

United StatesOur stay here in Granada was splendid! Their staff and service is exceptional ; from the first email explaining how to arrive to checkin to restaurant recommendations and the complimentary bottle of champagne and afternoon “tea time”. This boutique hotel was clean and within walking distance of everything we explored. It’s fantastic… and on our list to return to it if in Granada again

JordanNothing in particular.. but Once I forgot to close the door of the balcony and I was surprised by three small cockroaches running inside the room, so be careful to close your patio or windows
Everything the location, the room, the people everything went extremely well very nice people. The location can give you the exact needed experience if you want to experience out the small alleys of Granada.. I stayed in a lovely sweet number 11 and it was a very beautiful and clean room. I also had a patio link to my room.

United StatesThere was a bad smell when you turned on the air conditioning. It was in the bathroom faintly when we arrived, but was really bad when you turned the AC on.
We liked the courtyard and the free snacks in the afternoon. Also, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the staff was genuinely kind!

Hong KongThe closest carpark is 10 minutes away by walking, so if you have a lot of suitcase and you plan to drag them to the hotel it is going to be quite tough. The room was facing a courtyard, during the breakfast time it was a bit loud because the window glass was not double glazed.
Located in the old town, it is convenient to go to the historical sites. The room is clean. The staffs are friendly and helpful.
