Cons: - The bathtub is very tall and hard to step into, also you have the possibility of the door not doing its job and allowing for some water spills after a shower - Curtains did their job at blocking light, but it would be nice if they were the blackout kind!

Pros: - A quiet and peaceful stay - Beautiful grounds, the courtyard is a lovely sight - Lovely welcome by staff/hotel. I will definitely repeat a stay here - Well located and close to train station and center - Air unit is modern and can allow for both heating and air conditioning

The floor in the room was not clean enough.

Restaurant The hotel is better than restaurants in the city. At the same time, the prices in the hotel's restaurant are moderate. The historic building and the acting Bodega on the contrary, 3 minutes to the station and 7 minutes to the city center - ideal.

The room with high window . Couldn't see anything. No view except if you climb on a chair! 😔 They did not open the patio even when it was not raining.

The breakfast was good but on Sunday no buffet because??? Good restaurant. Frigo in the bedroom.

I would say there was nothing we did not like during our stay.

We were greeted by staff who were friendly and helpful. Soon after reaching our room we were presented with a gift from the hotel of Sparkling wine and chocolate coated strawberries which was a lovely surprise. The restaurant attached to the hotel was very good and we enjoyed dining in the open area in the bodega.

Dinner menu short of vegetables I am not a vegetarian but steak and veal cheeks served with tiny oblong of potato ….for example On whole staff lovely. We were shocked after pointing out that wine glass had a crack to have it snatched away and then the wine sloshed into our glasses without being offered a tasting

Only minor criticisms were safe did not work and no tissues in room. Hotel is lovely old building but in a rather scruffy street.

Good choice for breakfast served in lovely room. High standard of food served in restaurant in evening. Friendly staff. Lovely historic building with comfortable and clean room. Bottle of bubbly and cakes as a surprise gift on our last evening was a lovely touch.

Since arrival the staff was very welcoming. We could enter the room although we arrived earlier. A very pleasent surprise when they offer us a complimentary bottle of champagne and some cakes toghether with a hand written welcome note. Very comfortable bad and a big room. The interior court is a very pleasent place to eat and/or have a drink, especially in the evening.

The parking garage is a bit difficult, so once parked, we do not take the car out until we leave. Thankfully, there are plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance.

We stay here often, usually in a balcony room. This time that was not available so we were upgraded to a suite. We really appreciate that loyalty is rewarded, and that it was done without asking! We also like that we can go to the bar in the morning for a toast and coffee rather than the buffet breakfast.

Showing a bit of wear in places. Some paintwork could do with a refresh, and the floor in our room was uneven. Constant piped music throughout the hotel became a bit wearisome.

A stunning place. Wonderful room with doors opening on to a veranda surrounding the central courtyard. Courtyard a great place to eat and drink. Excellent service throughout. Complementary bottle of wine on our last evening. Worth noting that if you want to visit Cadiz or Jerez, this would make a very good base, as the hotel is close to both the rail station and the ferry terminal; 30 minutes to Cadiz by ferry, 15 minutes to Jerez by train.
