Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaThe south apartment was quite dark (kitchen and living area) and needed lights on during the day. This wasn’t a problem for us as we spent our days out and about, but may bother others. The bedroom is, however, very light and bright! Some items in the kitchen could do with replacing as they were very worn (e.g. knives, bottle opener) and it would be great to receive some extra supplies (e.g. enough coffee pods for the stay - we received two for five nights - or even just tea bags, though there are supermarkets nearby and a Nespresso store almost next door).
Very convenient location with a short walk to transport (including airport bus), the main restaurant spots, shopping and beach. Incredibly spacious too and well appointed for a longer stay (washing machine, full kitchen and equipment, etc.). The check-in and entry via app were appreciated due to arriving after 11pm, without worrying about someone being on site. The communication prior to our stay (e.g. how to check in, how to make sure app is set up) was also very helpful and responses were lightning fast. Overall, it was great to use our phones rather than a key for entry - my only concern was losing access if a phone died/was lost or stolen. The sofa bed was very comfortable too (often they’re not!).

The service, the location, the stay really surpassed our expectations. Very comfortable and well presented decent sized apartment in a fantastic location. Very close to all the restaurants in the Old Town which has a great atmosphere. Really excellent information pack send before arrival with lots of recommendations. I would recommend it.

GermanyThere is no physical host. The apartment can only be accessed with a mobile app (which works very well), so you have to make sure that your mobile phone has always power. We could not figure out how the aircon works, especially for the bathrooms. Noise from the street can be heard easily even if the windows are closed.
The apartment was located very central. All main attractions / locations were all within 2 km walking distance. The apartment was very clean and welcoming.

LithuaniaWe did not use the sofa bed but if we would have, the street noise was quite noticible. We were staying for 10 nights so we bought soap and rubbish bags ourselves (1 rubbish bag which was provided was not enough for us because we had quite some diapers). The building door did not open with the app but the code provided worked so no problem with that.
Everything! This was the best property we ever stayed in considering price and quality. Location perfect for going to the beach but also close to main visiting spots, shops and restaurants; very clean; the kitchen had everything; two bathrooms was nice addition; very quick communication and helpful staff. All what was necesary for our almost 1 year old was also provided. Very nice to use the app instead of keys, no worrying of losing.

I loved the quiet location although central to all shops and restaurants. I arrived before check in time and was able to store my suitcase in a locker provided (bring a 1€ coin to operate) and again when I was departing. Everything worked and the shower was great and a very comfortable bed.

I had no issues using the app to unlock doors, I find it very convenient. There are lockers where you can leave bags before check in and after check out if needed again super convenient! Also met the lady who was cleaning our apartment and she was the nicest! Can’t wait to be back!
