Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe bathroom was so tiny. Couldn't actually sit on the toilet unless side on and my friend and I are small ladies. I think a larger person or a man would struggle 😅. Bit noisy at night because of outside noise. No lift, although not an issue, as we only had hand luggage. Overall, a basic B&B is not fancy. Clean beds, so OK. It was more expensive than the hotels we stayed in elsewhere but it was flamenco festival week which may have been the reason why.
Well situated as very close to town centre. Jesus at reception is friendly and helpful. Quite an old building, so lots of character. The bedroom was spacious. Small balcony overlooking the street. Breakfast was pretty basic, but OK. Walkable from train station.

LebanonNothing. The AC wasn't working and no way to fix it; luckily it was not yet summer time, and furing the days I was out; during the night it was chilly and the window open would make the room just perfect. Staff offered to switch rooms actually 😊, but I liked it the way it was, perfect for a solo trip.
Its location, close to everything, bus stations, main attractions, and in the very heart of old town sevilla. I walked to everywhere, never needed to take a bus or metro or even uber. My room was a single double bed room; and a private bathroom. It was so convenient, and with a window.

EstoniaOur room had some kind of a small window, we couldn't get fresh air in the room because the window was small and something was blocking it from the outside. I'm not really sure there even was fresh air outside the window.
The hotel itself was beautiful, very friendly welcome, breakfast was okay, I would've wanted a little more fresh options like tomatoes or some kind of salat. Our room was okay, it looked better on the picture but it wasn't bad. Bathroom was really big and beautiful.

United KingdomOur room was quite depressing and dark. The black out blinds on the windows were a permanent feature and could not be drawn back which meant having the light on even during daylight hours. The street onwhich B&B Naranjo is situated is very noisy first thing in the morning particularly with passing traffic and deliveries being made to nearby establishments. As this B&B is in a very old traditional Spanish house there is no lift. We were lucky enough to be on the 1st floor. Please bear in mind, if you are elderly like us anything on a higher floor would be a killer.
The location was excellent, close to the bus terminal and all the major sights that Seville has to offer. Breakfast for an extra €7.50 was good value for money and there was a good selection of food on offer. The receptionist was very helpful informing us of the best places to visit and providing us with a detailed map. B&B Naranjo was very clean and relatively comfortable for a short stay.

United KingdomIn todays age of multiple electronic devices there could perhaps be more than one electric socket in the room (appreciate that an extension cable was provided). There was not a lot of room to sit on the toilet, with the shower being very close. It was quite uncomfortable when sat on it
The beds were so comfortable that my son & I didn't wake up until 10-30 on our first morning. Fortunately breakfast was available until 12, so we didn't miss it. The breakfast was fresh, varied and tasty. Location was superb in the old town and within walking distance of everything we wanted to do, including the football match at Real Betis. also able to use the sun terrace, which was an added bonus for early February.
