No view at all from almost 90% rooms. Only very expensive ones have Main Street/River view. The water kettle inside rooms are old models with black coils doesn’t look good.

Internet did not work in my room. I talked twice with reception and they tried their best, but it is not work. I had to go to the lobby to work which it was not convenient at all. Coffee--the coffee machine in the bar was not in service until late morning and I had to go outside to find a cup of good coffee.

I would encourage the reception staff to be more welcoming, as they are the first point of contact for guests. Surprisingly, the cleaning staff were more welcoming and cheerful than the reception staff.

The location was great, the hotel and room were clean, the bed was comfortable, and the cleaning staff were always friendly and greeting guests.

Hotel parking is limited and can't be reserved. Had to park our motorcycles in a public car park about 1Km away.

Great room with comfortable bed. Very helpful staff who very quickly sorted out an issue when we discovered we had been allocated the wrong room type. Lovely location near the old town and only a short walk to The Guggenheim.

The hotel is nicely located at the bank of the river with an excellent promenade on both sides and multiple fancy bridges; it's only 5 minutes walk to the Guggenheim museum in one direction, to the old town in another and also 10 minutes walk from the main streets of Bilbao. The room was very clean and quiet. The breakfast was also really great.

We arrived when one of Bilbao's big Holidays started which meant fully booked hotel, crowds at breakfast (even though their sign lets you know which times are low/medium/high occupancy during breakfast!) and lots of noise late at night from the concerts going on nearby. Check the Holiday calendar beforehand if you are sensitive to that! Dinner options were only in the dining room which was the same as the breakfast room with little atmosphere. No snacks were served in the bar area. However, room service had a nice selection and the delivery was timely.

Big breakfast buffet with gluten-free bread/muffin Great location along the river just minutes of walking distance from the Guggenheim museum and the Old Town. Room service at night came within 20 minutes as I had been notified.

Hotel staff was asked for local advise and did not mention local holidays and closed shops (that seem customary and did not show up online). For this, local knowledge would have been very nice.

I reported a potential security breach on their reservations website (card scam) and I am still waiting for the investigation results. Also, it was water in the garage, the ticketing system is lousy for the price I paid for parking. Had to wait 3 minutes for the barrier to open even the receptionist informed me it was automatic.

Open bathroom, but not a big deal.

We booked last minute, appreciated the availability still in a fair price range. The room was a bit basic and the open bathroom concept is not the best, but the price is fair. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful with any upcoming questions related to parking etc. Our bathroom had an issue but service staff came to fix it almost immediately. Room service was flexible as we stayed in the room until 1 pm and they still did an excellent job. The best of all was the breakfast, excellent selection, a lot of salty and sweet options, cold cuts of local ham and cheese, warm dishes, eggs, a variety of fruits, yoghurt and granola. They even had a honeycomb! Loved our stay.

Unfortunately, the hotel was very busy at 4pm for check-in. The staff were noticeably flustered, we waited in line for over 20 minutes, and even then our room was not ready at the guaranteed check-in time so we waited another 15 minutes. As the staff were so busy they skipped the orientation of the hotel and area. We also had issues with the air conditioning. It worked well in the front half of the suite but hardly at all in the bedroom portion which made it difficult to sleep.

The hotel rooms are pleasantly much nicer and newer than the photos online. We stayed in a suite which was perfect for travelling with a 3-year-old. We were easily able to put him down in the living space area and close the door to our space, with access to the bathroom. It was an ideal set-up. The location is great and the beds are very comfortable.

Very nice all round. Get a suite on the 1st floor with view of the river. Tall trees in the street in front of the hotel restrict the views from higher floors. Standard rooms are at the back and have no view of any interest. Worth spending the extra if you're there for four or five days. Facilities in the room were pretty good.

The toaster was useless. Would have preferred a separate bathroom. There was no corkscrew. Food at the buffet breakfast was often cold.
