The hotel is from a past time, and hasn't really been updated much. It is looking rather tired and the bathroom fittings, etc. are indeed from a past time. The breakfast (we ate dinner in the town) wasn't great. No fresh seasonal fruit, eggs tasted as though they were powdered. However, the Ayuravedic massage was good, as was the swim in the thermal lake.

The property is well maintained, it’s a nice place to stay especially when you want to relax. First time to experience in the Thermal Lake it’s so good.

A bit worn and not that clean. For the price of dinner the food was not that exceptional . Good buffee in the morning but coffee machine always with a line.

The first room given to us (467) despite being clean had a very bad smell which meant we could not stay in it. But at reception we were given another room which was perfect.

We loved the cafe, the ground and the dog friendly approach by all staff. Manuel went above and beyond expectations after we had a problem with our first room.

Relaxing experience as ever in a landmark location. Thermal natural lake is a one off place that worth the stay by itself.

Beautiful building, rooms are basic but super clean and staff are lovely. The food in the restaurant for dinner was very good, a buffet with plenty of selection of meat, fish, vegetables and salad. All really tasty and well cooked! The fish was especially good. Stunning grounds, the lake was so tranquil and warm.

The staff was rude with bad maners. The spa is nothing but quiet and calm. Nobody is silence anywhere and the staff dont worry about it.

The only thing that was well was the great and marvellous work of the cleanworkers. Another thing was the surrondings.

No expected dressing gowns in the room or shower gel. The shower curtain did not reach the inside of the tub hence half the shower water ended up on the floor and the hairdryer was temperamental. Breakfast was one of the most unorganized buffet breakfasts I have experienced. We didn't understand the medical check procedure or if this was necessary as the whole experience was very unprofessional..

Facilities not at all maintained. Don't need to be "new" but need to be in good conditions and clean. This was not at all the case. Mainly the hotel room was not clean and also the garden + lake without any maintenance. Garden in very bad shape and lake was kind of abandoned place.

The food in the magnificent but extremely weird and sad restaurant in the evening.

Nothing much has changed since 1863 date of the hotel opening and really that's what makes it such a wonderful place to stay. I overnighted on a long trip with my dog and both of us loved it. Comfortable bedding. Only thing: keep away from the restaurant in the evening. Staff is friendly and helpful but the food is awful and expensive... very expensive for what you get. Breakfast was very nice. All in all a great experience and amazingly cheap for what you get
