Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

DenmarkThe welcome was not very welcoming, and the check-out took a long time because one of the two receptionists didn't want to bother with dealing with me (he was very busy staring at something intensely), so I had to wait until his colleague became available. The walls are very thin, so pack ear plugs. The bed was not comfy.
The place has a nice location, the room was spaceous and the breakfast good.

United Kingdom1. First room allocated was in adjacent block some walk away from Main reception. I had my 5yr old son with me. Looked more like a basic hostel than a hotel room, very basic, no air conditioning & bathroom very uninviting. 2. Very small old fashioned lift, only room for a few people, more like a porters lift. 3. No air conditioning in any rooms. 4. Property in need of major expenditure to bring it all up to speed. Felt & looked in a time warp. Could be amazing. 5. No swimming pool for children. I was hoping to take my son swimming in the morning before leaving but it’s only a spa pool and children not allowed.
1. Last minute availability as it has plenty of rooms & we hadn’t booked anywhere ahead of our travel. 2. The response of the reception staff when I asked to move rooms. 3. The breakfast & amazing huge dining room/hall. 4. Free parking.

FranceA good breakfast. But the best is the general atmosphere. With a lot of things and ghosts from the year 1893 !!! Maybe less comfort than a standard hotel but a real and good (his)story ! Strange and funny big house !

United States of AmericaOverall, it’s a nice hotel but needs some updating.
It’s located in the beautiful Basque region in the mountains. Absolutely beautiful location. The hotel is also a sanatorium. The room was comfortable. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good, continental style. Parking is secure. There is access to the pool, but you must make reservation due to COVID restrictions. The nearest town, Zestoa, is about a 15-minute walk or 2-3 min drive.

United States of AmericaIt seems run down and not taken care of. The room seemed like it was cleaned a long time ago but had dust bunnies all over the floor. The pool and restaurant weren't open because of COVID so that can't be counted against them but the price was high for just a room.
It's a beautiful location.

ReunionThe bedhead of the bed we slept in had mildew all over it. We had to clean it with toilet paper before we went to bed to avoid breathing too much of it during our sleep. The hotel seems so huge that the staff must be overworked. The hotel has a lot of potential and some renovation would really do some good.
It is difficult to find a hotel with free rooms close to Loiola. We were happy and thankful to find Balneario on our way. The dining room of the hotel is beautiful. It reminded us of the Titanic. The hotel displays a lot of photos and memories from the early 20th century which gives charm to the place.

United KingdomThere was nothing to dislike unless you were particularly fussy. You get what you pay for and it was excellent value for money
Wonderful art deco hotel, getting a little tired but for the price it was a great place to stay. The food in the restaurant and bar area was excellent value for money and well executed. The spa was really good and invigorating. The architecture was fantastic if you like Art Deco ,beautiful corridors. All in all a very pleasant stay
