Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe food was definitely plentiful, however, we are pescatarian and found that the food we could eat wasn't particularly varied - the same fish options, pizza and salad really. Desserts weren't to our tastes at all - a lot of jelly based options. Lots of meat options in general so very good for carnivores - even the pasta sauce was meat-based!! Lots of fresh salads and nice bread though. The drinks on the all-inclusive offer were a bit limited, I drank a lot of sangria which wasn't necessarily a bad thing. Stay away from the Margaritas though - really not nice! The Bali beds were available for 20Euros for the day which included 2 cocktails, however, we found out that it only included the basic cocktails which were already included in the all-inclusive package, so we felt a bit like we were being cheated - maybe for all-inclusive customers they could include a 'premium' cocktail instead so it's a better deal. The cardio equipment in the gym is VERY outdated, of the 2 treadmills - one broke while I was on it and the other seemed to have a hole under the belt which was a shame. The weights are okay though. The hotel is definietly ageing and could do with a bit of an overhaul but for the price it was decent enough. Nothing special but we had a pleasant week!
Nice hotel with friendly staff. Good sized pool and amazing location very close to beach and local amenities. We had a partial sea-view room on the 6th floor (you could see it from the balcony) and there are some beautiful views, especially when the sun was setting over the mountains. Great selection for breakfast. Definitely visit the old town which is a short walk away. Spa was nice - sauna, steam room, ice and showers. Jacuzzi pool was a bit cold for my preference - lukewarm.

SpainBreakfast and dinner a slight let down. Quality of products not very high but then at the price paid for half board it makes sense.
very clean room, bed extremly comfortable, great prices at the bar, Staff friendly and professional. Spa was impeccably clean. Beautiful gardens with many quiet corners to sit and relax. Well laid out concept.

United KingdomDinner buffet was poor quality but lots of choice. Breakfast was better. Wine at the on-site bar was pretty bad too.
Pool area and outside space was really relaxing. Room was comfortable and quiet. Good balcony with great views. Really clean and had hand sanitizer everywhere.

FranceIf you're a foody, don't take full or half board, even the breakfast is disappointing and the atmosphere in the restaurant is like a canteen : noisy and busy. Pity you can't eat outside garden side as the street side is really noisy.
Alcudia is a great place to go to, it wasn't my first time. The hotel is near the port, the beach and the bus stops. The hotel lounge and gardens are beautiful. Pity about the food.

IrelandThe breakfast was a standard buffet. Beds not very comfortable!
Location was brill, only 4 mins to the gorge beach and 15/20 mins from the old town. Pool is great and you'll always find a bed free to lie down! The relaxing area below the pool was lovely with hammocks etc. A great place to chill and read with a coffee. Staff were great 😊

United KingdomThe rooms are a bit tired to be a 4 star hotel it needs refurbishment. Don’t get a room with sea view as it faces a fairly busy road and there is lot of noise at night. The food at breakfast was ok but the dinner wasn’t good, so despite having half board we ate outside 6 times out of 7.
The location is great as it’s 4 mins walk from the beach. You maybe need to walk 10 to a nicer spot but it’s not the end of the world. The city centre is also few minutes walk for evening meals or gelato. The bar, pool and garden area are good. Staff is very nice and smiley.

Belgium- Bed was very uncomfortable, one of the mattresses was so old, that it felt like lying in a gap. After mentioning this to the staff we supposedly got a better one, though it was not better at all... - room very old - felt like staying in Germany, the staff kept on speaking German as 90% of the guests were German. Some don’t speak English - food was good, as expected for a 4 star hotel, but not particularly special or extensive
The food was good Nice location

NetherlandsThe rooms are really noisy, as in, you can follow word by word the conversations, hear toilets flush and on the last night we heard someone snore. The swimming pool is sufficient but lacks character and is very crowded even in low season.
Location in Alcudia was great, close to the beach, center, and old town. Acceptable food for a buffet.

TurkeyFood has a wide range of options for both breakfast and dinner. In addition, it is location is just nearby the beach and shopping area, we enjoyed swimming in the beach and visiting around places with cafes and restaurants all around. We were there for cycling specifically (no need to mention gorgeous sceneries of Mallorca), but I just loved every aspect of this travel such a nice, cycling friendly hotel.

LithuaniaYou can check in online but it doesn't really make the process quicker because you still have to wait in the same line (if there are more people).
We really enjoyed this hotel: amazing location very close to the nice beach, clean rooms, very nice SPA and pool area. We did not expect much but we were surprised by the food (we had breakfast and dinner). There were plenty options to choose and food was delicious.
