Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdomthe beds were a little hard but this only had a very slight impact on our break!
the hotel is immaculate, very clean and the buffet is superb. Lots of choice and slightly different selection every day. Worth upgrading to a sea view!!

IsraelA lot of things.. First of all we paid extra money for a room with a sea view but eventually got an ordinary room with no view. After that we have been told that we've got a sea view although all you could see was a forest. A bunch of wild roasters didn't let us sleep properly at night and we could hear them all over the property even during the day! A bed was super uncomfortable, there was no free Wi-Fi in the rooms although they put into description on a site that hotel provides free WiFi and dining room was awfully small. Very disappointing experience
A location was good ,pretty close to the markets and bars

Czech RepublicWonderful all-in stay in Hotel Bahamas. All-in also includes beer, wine, sangria, alcoholic and soft drinks, ice-cream and snacks at the pool bar. We really had a great time here and there's nothing major to complain about. Great stay at a great price. We'll love to come back next year :)

United KingdomThe hotel 1 hosted the restaurant, pool and snack bar. The swimming pool received no sun and yet every sunbed was always “reserved”. The queue for the drinks and snacks was always long and only one server. The food was very poor - very little choice and often cold (in particular the cooked breakfast) as the heaters were not strong/hot enough to keep the food warm.
The hotel had a nice “feel” about it. Not too big. Hotel 2 had a lovely quiet pool which always had sun and we always managed to get a sunbed.

NorwayAC was a bit old so not very effective, better Air con would have made the stay more pleasant. Not many good restaurants in the neighbourhood. Fortunately hotel has a restaurant which is perfect if you don't wish to venture out, but don't expect too much...food is ok but not fantastic etc. No small fridge or kettle in room, unless you pay for them and even then they might not be available. This should be a standard not an extra in my personal opinion.
The pool area was nice to cool off in during the hot hours of the day and the staff were polite.

United Kingdomthe food choice was awful for us from Scotland we didn’t eat a thing there after paying for half board didn’t get our moneys worth at all it was so bad like pigeon food we weren’t allowed the picnic option even though it says nothing about being all inclusive on the bits of information you get in the hotel room that’s false information the bedroom view was horrid a nice view of trees one of the beds had actually broke to the point of no use my bf came back from being out at night and managed to fix it after having quite a few no help from the hotel was offered there was a lot of commotion around the pool between 2 people and one guy was being very verbal abusive to this woman the life guard did nothing to stop this situation especially as it was infornt of kids to I found that disappointing also the nightlife in the hotel ends far to early and there’s nothing fun for the kids or any interactive entertainment you just need to sit and watch a painful performance there’s no engaging with the people at the hotel overall wouldn’t come back to this hotel seems like to much for a party pod not kid friendly or suitable for something to eat
the only thing we liked was the food at the snack bar that you had to pay for like that it was close to the bus stop and the front apart from the massive hill you had to walk up n down everyday cheap bus trips €2 per person which was fab didn’t hear much of the roosters everyone’s complaining about maybe due to us being at the back of the hotel if your in a bedroom at the front above reception then your stuffed for that

PortugalWe woke up literally every day at 6am with the roosters... we almost felt like we were in an agrotourism(and we would be very happy if that was the case...). We didn't like Arenal, it looks really like a dirty suburb of a city, but who likes party hard this is the place! Not recomended if you want to relax or come with family.
Well, you cannot ask much when you pay so little. Guess breakfast and the ping pong table for free were the best. Dinner and lunch not good, and I can adapt very easy... What kind a cheese do they put in the pasta? (and I do love cheeses even when they are strong like cabrales or blue chesses!) Staff is nice. Bus stop nearby to go to Palma city (2€/person), airport (5€ or 6.75€ fee) and other places.
