We had a fantastic stay at El Avenida Palance in Barcelona! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The location couldn't have been better—perfectly situated for exploring the city. Our room was comfortable and well-maintained, providing a cozy retreat after a day of sightseeing. Battled to get the air conditioning right. It often felt too cold. Otherwise, I really can't think of what was less than ideal at the hotel.

We had a lovely sized room with a very modern bathroom. The rooftop bar and pool was small, but perfect for just hotel guests. Having swimming towels freely available for guests was a nice touch. The detail and elegance of the whole hotel interior was beautiful and very well maintained. The location was simply perfect, being right in the middle of the tourist spots and right next to the entrance to the metro. But the best part of the hotel was the friendly and very helpful staff. They paid attention to detail, and could all speak English easily.

I wish they explain about cafeteria in the lobby because we didn’t know we can eat or drink at the lobby until the last day of staying

Amazing location, friendly staff, and clean beautiful hotel. They had water and candy at the lobby for guests. Water pressure was good and AC was adjustable in the room so you can be comfortable. Overall, I love it and I enjoyed it!!

Unfortunately, we found the room walls to be paper thin to the point where you could hear every single word of conversation in the surrounding rooms, so not much rest. The entry doors are quite old school and tend to get stuck, we kept hearing neighbors being unable to enter their rooms. It would have been nice to have a kettle. Otherwise, a lovely stay that really elevates your experience in the city!

Superb location – makes it easy to walk to the main locations, or to instantly access metro/bus for sights further away. Plenty of stores and cafes around. Great housekeeping, fresh water and coffee every day. Nice breakfast. The hotel interior is full of historic elements, really adds to the charm. Lovely rooftop terrace with a view of the city, including Sagrada. We also really appreciated the celebratory gift from the hotel staff. An added bonus – an amazing tapas restaurant right around the corner.
