The town has little to offer in terms of shops and restaurants. Also you have to walk a bit from the parking. But you you could also see these as positive points ;)

Bed was a bit hard. Written instructions would have been good. No explanation about recycling. No explanation about not flushing toilet paper.

We missed a brush for dish washing and a plastic board for cutting meat, vegetables and bread. The dining options in El Porís are very limited. The nearby Cafe del Mar provide take-away food which may be relevant as their tables always are full. The newly opened El Farareo may be OK but we did not try it.

We have booked this apartment 6 times before in the past 7 years which indicates we are quite happy about this place. The appartment has what you need for a comfortable stay and perform some cooking. Bedlinen and beds are very comfortable. The location only a few meters from the sea with proper stairs make it easy to take a swim even twice a day. The bathing area is located in a bay which make bathing safe and only a few times we must abstain because of the wawes. Tide level shift is more than 1½ meter. You can always use the small beach located 100 meters away. After your swim there is a outdoor shower next to the laundry room. Be sure to book the real apartment and not the smaller studio apartment. We had some issues with the payment because Mastercard for "safety reasons" blocked our sceduled payment which was due some weeks before arrival. Mastercard did not notify us and it was only because the host knew us from the previous years that we could hold our reservation until Mastercard finally paid as they should. Mastercard provided a very poor service that nearly spoiled our hollyday which also included our non-refundable costs to booked flight and rental car. It is easy to contact the host and they speak good English (and probably also other languages). We could always find a parking lot within 300 meters. There is a little playground for small children and the beach is also children-safe. For seafood do visit Tajao, and for non-tourist food visit Vila Arico (La Emeliana) or Teguedite (El Pedregal).

We liked everything about the apartment. Poris is surrounded by wind farms which suggests our experience of strong winds throughout the week might be quite normal. Nevertheless, the apartment was perfectly built to give shelter - and there are places on the quayside to sunbathe also out of the wind. We found we used our hire car more than we would have in some of the busier areas of Tenerife but we wouldn't have been able to afford such a spacious and comfortable apartment with sea views in those areas. It's a lot of steps up and down to the private car park when carrying luggage.

The apartment has been furnished very nicely and had everything we could want. It was also larger than we expected - very spacious and fabulous views of the ocean from the large bedroom window. The patio was great and gave good shelter from the strong wind we had throughout the week. It was also great to have the metal ladders and steps from the quayside to get into the sea even when it was quite rough. Poris is a quiet and quite isolated resort which for us was a nice contrast with the busier area of Costa Adeje the week before

The sea view is fabulous both from the terrace and the upstair bedrom. Everything you need is provided, even beach towels. The place i very quiet, just the sound of the sea. A few steps across a traffic free road, with steps leading into the sea, better than any swimming pool! A quiet village with lovely seaside walks in both direction, two supermarkets within 5 minutes walk. The apartment has a very well equipped kitchen with everything you need. Rita, from the rental company was very friendly and helpful, very easy to communicate with.

My bed creaked a little . It would be nice to have a full size clothes rack in the apartment after using the washing machine.

We totally loved the property, but the stairs down from the car park were difficult for my husband as he has knee problems.

Dream location with fantastic sea views from both upstairs and down. Just a few steps across a traffic free road, to several steps leading into the sea! Better than any swimming pool! Vert quiet untouristy village. Lovely circular walks in both direction, each taking in a local supermarket if you need to pick up fresh bread etc. The apartment has a very well equipped kitchen and we often ate outside on our private terrace. A very warm welcome from Rita, who was very friendly and helpful. Thank you, we adored staying here.

It would be nice with a little sugar, salt and olive oil in the kitchen at arrival. We must buy it and leave 90% of it when we leave the appartement after a week or so. This time we had unusual strong wind all days and thus significant waves. This situation made it challenging to get up and down the stair to the ocean where we prefer to swim. However, we did it most days and easiest when tide water was high. The few restaurants in El Poris are not very good. Take-away from overcrowded Café Mar 50 meters away is a good option. Otherwise we could dine in Abades 3 km away or elsewhere further away. Or try to cook something simple in the appartement's own well equipped kitchen. Stores and mercado (Santa Cruz) have excellent easy-cook options for sale.

We have been here four times before - and this fact indicates we are quite happy to stay here. The area is very quite and safe. The free local welcome wine in the fridge was good. We had no problem with the stair (to first floor with bedroom and bathroom), but this might be an issue for some. We always found free parking within 400 meters from the appartement.

The house was on the beachfront, only a few steps and you could swim or sunbathe beside the ocean. Was working remotely for a week and could recommend the place.

The location and the view, amazing! We were doing surf everyday and wanted to be away from the touristic areas, so this was perfect. Access to water right from the stairs. Blend in with the locals and enjoy the few local restaurants in the village. My place to go to in Tenerife!
