Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

PhilippinesThe location was perfect. Lots of activities there, close to the metro, train station, historical plazas and commercial area. The place was well-designed, everything we need for eating, cleaning, entertainment and bath were there. But the best thing is the host Claudio. He welcomed us, gave our keys, directions and tips, and offered us welcome drinks - cold beer!!! He is very customer-oriented, proof of which is that he brought battery-powered lights and charged our devices in his house while waiting for the power company to bring back electricity. His Argentinian flare, helpfulness, and overall nice-guy demeanor made us miss him. I’ll rent out his space whenever I have the chance.

This apartment was so clean and modern, completely updated and comfortable. There was plenty of room for the three of us, and a fourth person would have easily fit, too. The location was perfect. It was within walking distance of many attractions and was in a vibrant, fun, and safe neighborhood. Our host was quite gracious and accommodating, always available if we needed anything. Couldn't have asked for a better situation.

IrelandWe were very happy with everything except the heat. With temperatures of 40 degrees, we had to limit our sightseeing to early morning or nighttime. We were glad to have a lovely apartment with air-con to return to each afternoon.
Claudio is a nice guy and met us on time. He gave us a great welcome with snacks and cold beer on a very hot day. We don't speak Spanish but Claudio spoke very good English and gave us many helpful tips about the area and the restaurants. The apartment was well equipped, and as described. There were teas,coffee and other essentials available to use. Our beds were comfortable and the apartment was very clean. The location is very central and we could walk everywhere. Madrid is such a lovely city.

New ZealandClaudio met us at the apartment and took time to explain everything to us and recommend local food, supplies and entertainment. He welcomed us with a plate of crisps and a beer each. The apartment was like a home away from home with dishwasher tablets, laundry powder etc all supplied. Definitely our favourite apartment of our trip. The location was excellent and within walking distance of all we wanted to do.

Claudio met us at the apartment, he was waiting for us when our taxi arrived. The apartment looks exactly like the pictures. The AC was terrific as was the shower! So many local bars and cafes within minutes walk. There’s a metro stop 3 minutes away but most of the main tourist sites are within a 20 minute walk!

The apartment was very clean with everything we needed to ensure we had a comfortable stay. The beds were comfy, there were toiletries in the bathroom and there was plenty of crockery and utensils in the kitchen. It was in a nice area, handy for the Gran Via and metro.

Located in the Malasaña area, the apartment is very well placed with many shops and restaurants nearby. It is within a short walk to major streets like the Gran Via and San Bernardo. The apartment has two bedrooms and overall nice modern facilities with heating, wifi, laundry, electric hobs and a comfy living room. The place was sparkly clean and well maintained. The host was such a gentleman who was approachable and provided essential informations on the trip. He made every effort to make you feel like home and communicated well in advance for check-ins and outs. Overall a very pleasant stay, in a great central location, and a welcoming host.
