Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomAnts and location. Most surrounding bars / restaurants closed. Middle of nowhere really with very little to do. At least 25 minute walk into San Blas, which was also very quiet with not a lot open. The miserable weather did not help, however, Golf del Sur is a very windy resort compared to other resorts such as Los Cristianos (where we usually stay). Made it very cold to have a bbq or venture into the pool.
Very nice stay with comfortable beds, huge tv, fans and extra little touches (such as cleaning materials, buckets and spades, hairdryer, kitchen roll, toilet roll and towels). Very modern and clean.

United KingdomThe outside light by door to access property was not working. It seems to be linked to a sensor which clicks but light does not come on. It was very difficult therefore to see where the key box was when we first arrived and also when opening and locking the property in the evening during our stay. Washing up bowl in the sink would be useful and also drinks / mugs coasters so as not to damage furnishings - we acquired some of latter from a local bar!
Property very modern, spacious and clean. We chose this location as know the area very well and also based on feedback reviews on this property from other guests. Nice view from spacious top balcony which remained sunny well into the afternoon. Very handy for local bars, restaurants and supermarkets - just a short walk away. A nice, quieter area and that's what we love about it.

United KingdomIt would have been helpful to have a manual in the apartment describing how things worked - such as the air conditioning. It took us 2 days to find out how to operate this after I finally had to contact the owner. There is a key box code entry but it it difficult to locate and the security light at the door is broken. Had it not been for a helpful local who came and helped us we would not have been able to gain access. This happened to us as we had a nighttime arrival. The exact information about the location of this entry box needs to be communicated prior to guests arriving.
The location was quiet and peaceful. It was a 15-20 minute walk to San Blas and the shops and restaurants there, but there were some excellent restaurants close by too. It was a very well equipped apartment with high quality furnishings and appliances. It was lovely to have two private sun terraces with outdoor loungers and dining furniture to use.

United KingdomThe apartment was lacking some items that should always be included. For example: no hooks in bathroom or bedrooms for robes or the lovely IKEA towels, no pot holders or oven gloves in kitchen or at bbq, no freezer, no mirrors in bedrooms, no directions for anything. Recycling! No spare loo rolls.
The location was good. Quiet, view of sea, convenient to amenities. Nice to have both a terrace and a balcony. Parking not a problem.

Belgium- weak water pressure, including for shower and toilet - hereratic and unstable WiFi connection - Some ants - limited number of tools in kitchen, no freezer - Cold water in swimming pool (not heated) - no information or booklet available describing/recommending activities, bars and restaurants in the area - no double glazing windows in the bedrooms, noises in the street are clearly heard - no instructions available to open secure windows and smart lights - residential area, not much to do
