Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe soundproofing in the rooms was not great.
The location is stunning. We had a great view from our room and were able to have a very picturesque walk after dinner. The hotel restaurant had a varied menu. We were walking the Camino, and although this hotel is slightly off the main route the way off and back on are very straight forward and I suspect no extra KM were needed.

United StatesIt was very beautiful here! And the restaurant is delicious and has an amazing view. If you are doing the camino, it is not too far off the path but still an addition to the walk to get there. The breakfast was great as well.

Hong KongNo lift facility and the staff help to carry the luggage to the room on the third floor. However, we have to carry our luggage next morning. Not convenient if one have heavy luggage.
The hotel is close to beach but a bit off the Camino way.

United StatesNot the hotels fault; but not real close to the Camino if that is your activity. Also, if you have a tough diet (like vegan) it’s hard to accommodate and then need to drive into town- no Uber available
Really a sweet little hotel/hostel on the coast. But unfortunately it was raining.

United StatesRooms were spare and monastic. Secluded location limits options. Restaurant staff were not welcoming to their captive audience, however food was very good.
Fabulous waterfront location view. Front desk woman was excellent. She was very helpful and went above and beyond.

United StatesIt was in a beautiful location but the fact that I was walking the camino it was too far out of the way. The facility was pretty and there was a nice patio for watching the sunset while having wine. The staff were totally indifferent as in ignoring me unless I got their attention. The biggest issue was how much off the camino it was located. I walked an extra hour getting to hotel.

United StatesThe bay is polluted. The booking promised a bathtub, but there was none. Toilet paper roll was almost empty, and no extra roll provided. There was an empty bottle and plastic bags on the shelves. Guests smoked on the balcony and patio.

The host was especially helpful with my bill. Also, the resort was not in full swing bc it was off season, but she attended to all my needs including arranging a taxi and giving me a water view.

CanadaWaterside location surrounded by farms and gardens is very pretty...unfortunately it also means more flying insects, which we had plenty of upon arrival in our room, including a hornet, as the windows don't have screens. It is somewhat isolated from other services.
Staff were professional and friendly. Signage to find the hotel for people walking the Camino was clear and easy to follow. Restaurant accommodated earlier dinner times. Great location for beach access and views. An enclosed shower.

United KingdomI didn’t feel I was important to some staff members as they seemed to focus mostly on the group of 15 and as I was solo I felt insignificant which wasn’t great . The one lady on reception was very helpful and lovely .
Lovely location though slightly off the beaten track , by a small beach & couple of local tavernas . Stunning views & sunsets

CanadaIt was very loud. My room was right at the top of the stairs, so I heard everyone walking up/down the stairs. You could hear the conversations in other rooms, as well as people opening and closing their doors. This hotel is not near the camino, It was about a 30-40 minute walk off the camino from Cesantes, and though there was a 'shortcut' to get back on the camino, it was along a major highway. Since it is already a few km past Redondela, I would suggest maybe getting a taxi from Redondela to the hotel, save your feet.
Room was a good size, had two single beds. Clean sheets and towels were provided in the room. Bathroom was also nice, with a warm shower. There was a terrace off the room which was a nice place to lay out some clothes to dry. The beach is a 30 second walk from the hotel, it was nice to sit out and relax after walking the camino. The front desk provided a beach towel. Not many restaurants nearby, a small beach bar about 3 minute walk. There is a restaurant onsite at which I had a lovely dinner, but be prepared to pay more than a typical dinner on the camino. I would stay here again, but not if I was doing the camino.
