Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

MontenegroThe only reason that I rated it with 9 (and not with 10) is that the coffee machine didn't work properly. I know that this is a small thing, but I'm coffee addict, so it really bothered me. Everything else was great!
Everything was just great (except for one little thing that I will mention in the other part). Albaicin is a great place and this accomodation is the right choice! It is well mantained ambiental object that is highly representative for this neighbourhood.

United KingdomShower was tiny but still useable. The bed was uncomfortable- maybe a better mattress required. Better instructions needed for use of the stove. The cleaner had to help!!
A little gem. Hidden away in the Albayzin district. Away from the noise of the main town. Lovely courtyard with tables and chairs and a beautiful roof terrace perfect for a drink at night and a glimpse of the palace. Great local restaurants and bars close by. Great room with little balcony well equipped kitchen. Staff were so helpful and accommodating. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone and would definitely return. Only book if you are happy with walking up lots of hills.

CanadaThe hot water didn't last more than 2 minutes, though someone was prompt in trying to repair it. The walls are thin, so you can hear everything you neighbours are saying and doing. It is npt directly accessible by vehicle and it is a steep walk uphill; we found it best to Uber to a nearby point and walk the rest of the way, which took about 5 minutes.
Located in a beautiful neighbourhood with many local restaurants and lovely viewpoints nearby. Close to the city centre and the Sacromonte caves. The staff was helpful and responded quickly to inquiries. The in-room heating was helpful. Seating areas were charming and the rooftop patio has beautiful views. The beds were comfortable.

United KingdomThere was a lack of kitchen utensils- e.g. only one knife, one pot and no lid for frying pan. Also, the shower was very small.
We stayed for three nights in May. The apartment was compact and comfortable with its own small terrace. It was spotlessly clean throughout. The bed was extremely comfortable. The location, in the Albaicín area of Granada was excellent - though most suited to those without a vehicle as the streets were impossibly narrow - just wide enough for one car. It was easy for us to walk everywhere but it could be challenging for those with mobility problems, due to cobbled streets - often on a slope. Due to the lack of traffic, the area was very quiet. There was a very good supermarket within five minutes of the apartment.

United StatesThey do not provide parking so you need to park in a near by parking lot and pay a daily rate. This is the only reason for an 8 and not a 10.
It was a very clean well kept room in the heart of a historic area. Very nice apartment in a safe area. It is also very close to bus stops.

Immediate location, heart of old town, v close to restaurants, buses, taxis but very quiet/tranquil. Lovely outside spaces-gardens, roof terrace with view and private balcony with apartment. Alberto very helpful. Excellent response time/communication. Minimal kitchen but ate out! Parking (nearest public @ San Cristobal) extremely difficult at busy times (no spaces on our arrival, cobbled streets made it hard work in heat with suitcases. Narrow streets hazardous-buses, taxis, motorbikes. At least 10 minute walk. Apartments hard to find. A map pre arrival would have been helpful with clear directions. Took a taxi back to car park to avoid this.

GermanyThe guy on the reception (Alberto) was extremely nice and welcoming, our flat was cozy, clean with beautiful balcony.. The terrace is for common use with good view on a small part of Alhambra, the location is very close (3 min walk) to San Nicolas plaza wich has an astonishing view of Alhambra, the place is recommended also for those who enjoy knowing more and experiencing that golden era of Arab/islamic culture.

AustraliaI didn't want to leave.
The accomodation was superb. Location was gorgeous, view from our private balcony lovely and from the shared terrace (which I shared with no one) was even better. Wandering the local cobbled alleys was wonderful. Plenty of places to eat and supermarket, pharmacy etc all within a few minutes. We walked to the viewing point within 15mins and up to Alhambra in 30 minutes. A gorgeous walk to Alhambra. The apartment was clean, cosy and comfortable with everything we could need. The staff were friendly and so helpful.

United KingdomNothing. Perfect choice for us. Only issue was the shower head holder broken.
Location quiet side street. Patio and garden area great for eating and relaxing. Shared but 4 tables. Lucky we could always also use roof terrace (1 table) which had amazing views to the Alhambra. Ground floor flat spacious. Dark but cool in the heat and ate outside. Minimarket/ bus stop/ San Cristobal parking all very convenient. Non touristy area. Real feel of local life but only 30 min walk to Alhambra. Excellent value for money. Clean. All equipment needed incl. hairdryer and wash machine! Great communication with English speaking host.

BulgariaThe only thing I didn't like is having to leave the room and Granada :D
Perfect location in Albayzin (close to the restaurants, 20-25 minutes walk from the train station, approximately 20 minutes from Alhambra), our room/apartment was extremely spacious and included a bedroom, proper kitchen and bathroom. All the furniture was wooden, well maintained and ornately decorated. The inside patio of the house was something to die for, full of blooming lemons and oranges and birds singing. Every room essentially had its own part of the garden where one could spend the hot afternoons.

SwitzerlandPerhaps more Kitchen amenities could be included. Most things are there, but perhaps sugar, salt, pepper and a few other spices for cooking with to make it a little easier to prepare food.
A beautiful extended stay in Granada. We loved the location because it wasn't in the heart of the tourist areas and there were great restaurants and food stores close to the location.

FranceThere was only heat in the bedroom so in February it was a bit cold in the rest of the apartment. The key to the front door was a bit tricky to turn.
The location,l is exceptional. A bit far from the center and you have to be ready to walk up and down or take the bus, but it’s so worth it. The Albaycin neighborhood is the best. The view from the rooftop is gorgeous, you can see the Albaycin, the Alhambra and the Sierra Nevada in the distance.
