Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Check in & all information given by Pedro even down to booking taxi for our departure at 4am 🙀 taxi arrived 5 min before which was handy as we were already waiting for him this property situated on 1st floor overlooking a few local cafes & the marina when blinds are up open balcony doors lean on rails and watch the world go by ( can’t beat bit of people watching) flat had everything fresh bottled water coffee machine even soap powder for the washing machine and absolutely spotless defiantly return to this one

United KingdomThere is tea in the apartment and found a decaf capsule for the coffee machine, but couldn’t find any proper coffee, but you can buy coffee everywhere when you go downstairs.
The apartment is lovely and spacious for 2 people. The view from the room is amazing, overlooking Passeig de l’Esplanada and the port. It is very nice and bright in the morning which energises you, but if you prefer to stay in bed for longer the shutters make the bedroom pitch dark. The location is fantastic, you literally walk out and you have lots of restaurants to choose from. We stayed in the beginning of February and the weather was about 20 degrees, sunny for all the 3 days we were there. We loved the town, the castle, everything is beautiful. The only annoying thing is that there are lots of people trying to sell you stuff. The communication with the host, Pedro was really easy, always got back to me in a short amount of time. And Vilte, who made sure our stay was great, is a really lovely, young lady. We never normally go to stay at the same place twice, but we’re already planning our next journey here.

Location was excellent, close to all the shops, restaurants, the beach and the port. Pedro the host was also fantastic, always willing to go above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay.
