No towels are provided for the pool but there is an option to buy one for €10.00.

The hotel had lovely gardens and the room was clean. The restaurant was good and provided an attractive place to eat within the town. The hotel has a lovely (cold) pool! We paid a little extra for a larger room and the balcony overlooking the pool gave us wonderful views to enjoy in the evenings.

The breakfast room was small, making it busy during peak times. It is a bit tucked away from the main road but well signposted.

This hotel came highly recommended by a friend as a perfect place for a road cycling holiday. It really didn't disappoint. I had a great week's break with friends in very comfortable accommodation with very enjoyable food. The hotel is in a beautiful location in an ideal place for cycling both in the hills of the Sierra Nevada national park and to the coast. It is clean and well kept with a great evening meal selection that is good value for money and very well prepared. The view from our 3rd floor room was stunning and the pool area was spacious with a lemon tree and nearby bar and restaurant. The hotel has paid parking underneath but there is a free public car park just adjacent to the hotel. There is also a dedicated cycling room for storage and maintenance. One of our group is already planning returning to the hotel with his wife for less cycling and a more conventional holiday.

    Not much.

We booked in on a very busy weekend. A large group of walkers had taken most rooms with only basic doubles available. Our room was perfectly servicable and I was impressed by the rapid reaction to a problem with a wash basin tap; repaired within one hour. The facilities are excellent with an especially good value breakfast selection.

It seemed to be a little noisy. It was difficult to excuse the outside noise from the local tenants.

It was very clean and very comfortable. My only concerns noise did seem to travel.

This hotel is fabulous, set on the edge of beautiful Lanjaron. The rooms are generously sized with a seating area, ensuite and bedroom with a balcony looking over the Sierra Nevada. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was excellent with amazing breakfasts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would return again.

This is one of my favourite hotels in Andalucia. The location is great right in the heart of the centre of Lanjaron. Once inside, there is a sense of space, that you wouldn't expect from outside. The hotel is very nice and has a great restaurant. The best thing about the hotel is the garden - it's stunning and spacious with lots of corners of beauty. At night the lights come on and it's very twinkly. It's a perfect place to sit and have a drink. We were lucky to get a room with a balcony view of the morning. The sunrise was magical. Need I say more?...

Single bed mattress was old and uncomfortable for a full nights sleep. Some of the older staff members are not particularly friendly

Asked for double room but got a twin. No full length hanging space and not enough hangers in the wardrobe.

Lovely location, central to Lanjaron's main street. Grounds of the hotel were beautifully maintained with lots of places to sit and enjoy the scenery.

I found the beds quite hard and the room was very warm- I won’t say “hot”. I was there towards the end of September and although there was a ceiling fan, it was so warm that I had to open the window and was quite bitten by mosquitoes! Ask what was fabulous and they certainly can’t control the temperature or the mosquitoes. And all of Europe featured hard beds. It was a charming place with fabulous pool!

So authentic with fabulous service! Very clean, spacious rooms.

No full length Minnie in bedroom! Accessible shower was poor. Tiling left a lot to be desired. A low shower tray would be better. With proper sized screen.

Relaxed atmosphere . Loved all the greenery. Dining room and bar very well designed. Lovely how there were multiple seating areas . The menu was varied and good. Very good value. Access to the courtyard and dining area from rear of our room (108) was appreciated with my mobility issues.

The first impression was very poor. The receptionist had swallowed a misery pill that morning. Not the greatest of welcomes. Being August and pretty hot, a bottle of complimentary Lañaron water in the room would have been a nice touch

A fabulous hotel. The grounds are stunning and views are breathtaking. A very well appointed and comfortable room. The restaurant is outstanding and the two girls running the front of the house were very efficient and charming.

Parking is in a dusty public car park, only accessible to the hotel via a steep slope. Wifi a little touch and go.

The hotel is immaculately clean throughout, public parts all well maintained. Our room was quite spacious, functional rather than luxurious, with a sunny balcony overlooking the swimming pool. A small fridge was very handy for drinks and snacks. But the real strength of the Alcadima is in its outdoor areas - the gorgeous pool and the surrounding shady nooks, quiet seating areas and walkways, all very relaxing. The restaurant is casual but elegant, offering a varied and very acceptable menu. Only a few hundred yards off Lanjaron's main street with all its bars and restaurants, the Alcadima is a great choice for anyone who has a reason to be in the area, and a destination in itself for a short break.
