Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Very comfortable hostel. Incredibly clean accommodation with access to laundry facilities and an outdoor kitchen area. Lovely, kind hostess. Our dog was welcomed and the garden was fully enclosed and available for the dog to play safely in. We brought our own travel kettle with us knowing that it’s rare to find one in accommodation outside of Ireland or the UK.

Nice room with en suite, very clean and comfortable bed. Use of washer and dryer included in the price which was great as I was walking the Camino. Friendly host.

BelgiumThe doors are a bit thin so if people wake up early and speak loudly they might bother you, but that’s mostly a problem from rude people not the place.
Everything was brand new and very clean. The room in the back was calm despite the Hostal being next to the road. The owner was very kind and accommodating. You can park right at the door if you arrive by car.

New ZealandNothing bad. Just remember to bring food with you for dinner as the only option otherwise is a vending machine.
Beautiful, clean and homely space. I really appreciated the fresh bed linen and towels, large locker space, and free laundry facilities. The lady who ran the hostel was so warm and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Just a great place, it's how I would run an Albergue. It really is finished to the highest standards

New ZealandReally comfortable stay, but the bunk beds were a bit creaky when people turned over.
Clean, quiet, modern accomodation. Bunk beds freshly made up with clean white sheets and towel provided. Free new washer (with powder and softener) and dryer provided for use. Kitchen had microwave, crockery, cutlery and fridge. Outside was a cooktop and a vending machine that had snacks and drinks to buy. There is a restaurant (maybe two?) about a 15-minute walk away towards Finisterre. If doing the Camino, Cee is the best place to get groceries as I didnt see any other stores on the way after Cee. Perfect location for Camino Finisterre (path goes past front door). Lovely host lady. I used the correo luggage transfer service and this went very well. Bunk room was for 4 people and had individual power outlet per bed and a large locker with key provided. Large TV in dining area.

CanadaIt could have a kettle for boiling water for the tea/hot chocolate provided but I used the microwave
Walking the Camino to Finisterre it’s a great last stop before walking in the next morning. The host is gracious and kind. The facilities are extra clean and new; including complimentary laundry and a little breakfast the next morning. Though it’s a walk into town for a meal the host has arrangements for folks to order food if needed and she has a vending machine for snacks. There’s a full kitchen and hot plate outside of you bring your own groceries. It was the first place on the Camino with full bedding and a large towel for showering. She also provides a full size locker with hangers and a key. Great place I would highly recommend.

United StatesThere's very little not to like here. My wish list: A banana or orange with breakfast would be nice but there's plenty of food and beverage. There's no comfortable place to sit, such as a couch or armchair. The kitchen chairs could use cushioning pads on the legs as every movement makes a very loud screech.
Very nice albergue, with a 6-bed dormitory and private rooms on the ground floor. Dormitory beds are an excellent value -- €17 in early November including an ample tray breakfast. My dormitory bed had light and power. I didn't check others. Everything is very clean. The owner is friendly but you don't see her much because she lives upstairs. A bicyclist showed up late at night in heavy rain and said he couldn't afford a room. She agreed to let him sleep under an outdoor roof for free. Parking in the driveway right outside the door. Kitchen has a refrigerator/freezer, toaster, coffee, microwave but note the description does not include "stove" so you can't cook. Offsetting that is a free washer and dryer!! It's a very modern place, largely undecorated -- not cozy in the way many hostels are. The albergue sits right on the Camino de Santiago Muxia-Fisterra route. In my opinion, Fisterra should not be missed.

United StatesI slept in the top bunk bed and it was very squeaky every time I moved. Also the lights automatically turn off in the bathroom and even though I waved my arms, I was not able to get it to turn on from the toilet or shower so it would be great if the timer could be longer.
The place was spotlessly clean, the owner was lovely, breakfast was simple but plenty, it was prepared on trays the night before but the bread was fresh. We served ourselves in the morning and could take our time until 10.30am check out. Bonus was that the washing machine and dryer plus detergent were free to use. And free parking right outside the building. A towel was also provided. Great place to stay.

United StatesOne of the cleanest places I have stayed. Sparkling clean. Bright decor and comfy bed and hot shower. Free washer/dryer to use. Breakfast provided with toast/cake/coffee/orange juice. It is about 12km to Finisterre. Restaurants are not super close and I walked back to Corcubion for dinner which is about 1.9km and quite lovely to do so.

United KingdomThe location isn't ideal if you are arriving without any food - not near any shops or restaurants although I believe a delivery service was available for the local (expensive) restaurant. Fully equipped kitchen if you are able to bring your own food to prep though.
Lovely welcoming host. Brand new facilities - perfectly clean rooms, kitchen and bathrooms. A little cosy sharing a 4 bed dorm and a small kitchen, feels like living in someone's house with strangers rather than the laid-back vibes of a typical hostel/albergue, but still a very pleasant stay.

CanadaNothing at all I feel very lucky that I chose this albergue
It is one of the best albergues I have stayed at on the Camino Finisterre. The woman who owns the place keeps it spotless. The rooms are bright, with lots of room between bunks, very comfy beds, and a locker for our belongings. Both bathrooms are very spacious, the showers are excellent with lots of hot water, and beach sized towels included. There is no cost for the use of the washing machine and dryer. The kitchen is very bright, with everything you could possibly need, and a very ample breakfast is included. Lastly, the price is amazing, so much less than what you would expect for the comfort and facilities. It's a bit of effort to get there, but that works out in our favor, because the Camino is right there, and we end up gaining 4km for our efforts from the day before
