“The location and views are amazing. The host is informative and helpful. Really easy to walk to everything - the wonderful central market is only a couple of minutes away and there is a well stocked supermarket opposite the property. The beach is only about 10 mins easy walk away.”
“The location is pleasant enough in a residential area so only a couple of cafes within walking distance. The main town is a scenic 15 mins walk along the seafront and there is also a bus from the bottom of the road. The bus and train station is also walkable. The terrace is nice but overlooks a four lane highway out of town so is very noisy. It's not as private as photos suggest because next door's balcony is right alongside. The seating cushions were damp and stained although the dining table and awning were good.
We were informed the day before we left the UK that the lift wasn't working. Because we thought the patio looked so inviting, we said we'd manage . What they didn't say was that the lift was being repaired with noisy work right above our heads from 8.30am. There were 10 flights of stairs and over 80 steps. But that was the least of our worries.”
“La Casa Del Consul is one section of a building known as the Five Towers and is without doubt the most impressive property overlooking the Plaza Espana. Renovated by its owners Vittore and Eric, La Casa is an oasis of calm where one can retreat from the rabbit warren of bustling hectic activity that is Cadiz old town. You are invited by the owners to use their home as you would your own and leaving it as you would wish to find it. Although containing six self contained apartments along with common areas and roof garden, the only sound to be heard is the trickle of the fountain at the base of the stair well.
Vittore and Eric will provide you with a wealth of information about places to visit, sites to see and restaurants not to be missed. (Be sure to ask them to book a table at Casa Rafael Vinos Y Tapas if you are interested in the freshest of seafood and great vino tinto at less than £2 a glass!)”
“It was perfect — everything thought through to the tiniest details. Thanks to the hosts for making it exceptionally convenient. The apartment is amazing and looks exactly like in the pictures, the location is fabulous (although could be a bit noisy in the night), and the host is super helpful.”
“I’m used to stay in El Armador Casa Palacio. The building was very refurbished with good taste, providing a very comfortable stay. Location is great well on the central and staff very gentle and helpful.”
“Location was excellent and very close to the Plaza Mayor! We had the family apartment which was very clean on the ground floor and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay.”
“Big garden, renovated kitchen and spacious dining room. Beds are comfortable and there is everything you need to store as well as in the kitchen and washing machine. A barbecue might be a nice extra. The host was very helpful and friendly all the time.
The beach as well as some close restaurants are easy to get to by walking or car.”
