Very run down place. Air conditioner could not be shut off, temperature wasn't adjustable. Door to balcony didn't latch properly. All smoking rooms, no choice for non smokers. They allow smoking in all places and if you are a non smoker you can't get away from it.

The view of the Mediterranean was amazing! Grand old property in a wonderful old style. Comfortable bed. Amazing breakfast with an incredible array of all kinds of food.

The facilities badly need a thorough update: the rooms, the bathrooms and the common areas as well. The coffee corner at breakfast was rather underwhelming, with just one humble filter coffee maker. This just reflects the local preference for tea at all times.

The hotel is located very centrally on the waterfront, with a breathtaking view of the bay. Just make sure to take good earplugs - there is a main street running right in front of it. The staff is most courteous and accommodating throughout. The service level is top notch. I loved having breakfast at the rooftop restaurant - with a superb view of the bay again. The breakfast choice was excellent and abundant.

Nothing to complain about.

Stayed here last year and loved the Old World charm and the location right on the Corniche. The staff are so professional and polite. It has superb views of the beautiful harbour from the rooftop restaurant. It is now my favourite hotel in Alexandria. Breakfast is wonderful and varied.

We'd requested single beds on our booking but they, initially, gave us a double bed. Being asked to pay the small bar bill at checkout in cash followed by a long delay getting change. Hmmm, hoping I'd give up and leave it as a tip? The other thing we didn't mind but as advice, it's definitely faded glory. The common areas are beautifully maintained but our room's wallpaper was faded and peeling, balcony doors that were difficult to shut, loose sockets etc. All part of the charm for us but if you want everything perfect ......

The room, overlooking the sea was exceptional value in this "faded glory" hotel, grand and beautiful. We felt as if we were in a film set in the 20s.The breakfast was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful, especially the maid responsible for cleaning and dealing with any issues in the room. They sorted out twin beds when we arrived and requested them.

The room did not have any ports to connect the mobile charger, I needed to disconnect the plug from the subscriber and also move a piece of furniture behind bed to reach the connection.

Beautiful and historic building, Great location, The room is clean and the accommodation is comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the rooftop was amazing with very nice view with nice music and there was lots of food to choose from.

Bathroom was small and not very clean, not enough of normally working sockets in the room

Good interior, historic place and surrounding, small but cozy room, comfy bed, tea-coffee-cookies-water in the room. Great breakfast with a fantastic view overlooking Alexandrian Cornish. Good service, very friendly staff. Amazing location!
