Due to a flight delay, we arrived late with children and a baby. Despite informing the hotel in advance via email and message about our delay and requesting that they hold our room, we never received a response. When we arrived, our room had been canceled, and we had to wait a long time to sort it out. Given our situation—being tired with children and a baby—we would have appreciated quicker assistance.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and really appreciated its excellent location, the beautiful terrace, the comfortable rooms, and the delicious breakfast. A great choice for a relaxing getaway!

*Ahmed from the reception was very rude and careless..he kept telling wrong information about my booking without double checking…Vereena on the other hand was very nice and helpful. *One of the waiters in the roof restaurant gave me a hard time to get seated by the Nile …but his manager corrected the situation and apologized…

Rooms and bathrooms are old. Not properly cleaned. Did request carpets to be vacuumed again. They do not have full pillows- very uncomfortable. Bed was also uncomfortable can feel springs.

I was not informed by reception staff about the facility of ATM nearby to exchange from Dollars to Egyptian sterling. I went looking for banks and ATMs and wasted a lot of time.

When I booked back in May 2024 I requested 2 rooms that are close to each other as we are a family ( family of 6- mum, dad and 4 mid teens children). On our arrival we were given 2 rooms, one in the second floor and the other in the 5th floor. When we asked for the reason as we requested 2 rooms next to each other or at least in the same floor they told us they can't. The reason was that we booked 2 rooms and there are 2 different surnames and that's why they thought we are different families. I have no idea why there is a section indicating a special request or need when we booed. Unfortunately they didn't look at it and when we spoke to them they kept repeating because we booked 2 rooms under 2 different surnames. Everything also was good, and I would've given them a very good rating if my request was met.

- One of the receptionist's representatives was not so professional regarding the way he spoke to me. - Also, I was told some wrong information regarding my late check-out.  - No help was offered to move luggage going into the room during check-in or going out of the room during check-out. - Breakfast options were not so great compared to the price paid. - Wi-Fi was just acceptable.

- The location of the hotel and the views were fantastic. - Very nice cleaning and laundry staff. - The cleanliness of the lobby and the room was great.

It is a bit on the older side, there are corresponding stains in the bathroom, but it felt like it was cleaned as well as possible, so no complains to the personal.

Breakfast was various and of a good quality, the stuff was very helpful and kind, the room was spacious and had everything needed including safe and a couch, AC worked well. I liked the view, even though, it was not the river view. It was relatively clean, taking into account the age.

The rooftop restaurant was quiet and limited. It was not clear if we could have a glass of wine. It would have been nice to sit on the roof in a comfortable seat with a glass of wine overlooking the city at night.

Very central location with great views over the Nile. We were extremely lucky to be upgraded which was amazing. The hotel staff were lovely, the breakfast was good continental. The hotel was very clean and and the pool lovely.

We booked a king size bed turned out to be a queen size bed so I have to sleep on the open sofa wasn’t the most comfy but any I just worked with it

As this was our first trip to Egypt, we wanted to book a hotel with a view of the Nile, and Novotel Cairo El Borg was an excellent choice for that 💯. We booked 2 nights at Novotel Cairo El Borg, and the view from the hotel was breathtaking as our rooms overlooked the Nile. The staff were incredibly friendly and supportive throughout our stay. While our rooms weren't ready until 3:30 pm (an hour and a half past the expected 2 pm check-in), the hotel manager graciously offered us complimentary welcome coffee and a late check-out. This thoughtful gesture definitely improved our experience. The breakfast spread was extensive and delicious, offering a variety of options to satisfy all palates. We highly recommend starting your day fueled by their offerings 💯. The hotel's location is ideal for exploring Cairo. The iconic Cairo Tower is within walking distance, and Koshary Abou Tarek, a world-renowned restaurant (one of the 100 most iconic globally!), is just a short stroll away. Don't miss these must-visit attractions! In conclusion, our stay at Novotel Cairo El Borg exceeded expectations. The breathtaking Nile views, incredibly friendly staff, delicious breakfast, and convenient location made for a truly unforgettable experience in Cairo. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a comfortable and luxurious base to explore this vibrant city.

The restaurant and drinks were a bit pricey compared to outside restaurants which are tremendous value.
