The common area are two rooms ensuite. In one room it is allowed to smoke, but the partition doors are almost always open! and quite a few smokers are inconsiderate. Moreover when the wind is unfavourable smoke reaches other parts of the hostel. In the morning the ashtrays are full with cigarette butts. Brr. My suggestion treat tobacco the same way as alcohol (only outside the building). I liked the Egyptian style breakfast, but not the Egyptian style seating (cushions on the floor) and low tables. Perhaps nice if you like local tradition, but if you are a long term traveler from a Western country not comfortable. For me it was not a major issue though.

The location on the third floor of a building on the Corniche and close to the huge Gomrok market area - for me- was excellent. The views from the rooms could be better, but if they would be at the front there would have been much more traffic noise. Beds were comfortable and facilities such as the hot showers and WiFi proved to work well. The small kitchen is well equipped and suitable for cooking. The hostel was kept clean. The English speaking staff (without exception) is friendly and helpful. They have travel information and most of them are knowledgeable about the city. The common area is spacious. Security is good and there are lockers.

Place was very good, it's rare to find a place where it combines privacy and warm social life together, you have your own space but you never feel alone. Location is in front of the sea and just a few steps to the tram station,Staff are friendly and they have good taste in music they played during the day and night. It was my first time but never the last and I honestly recommend for solo travellers.

I just wish that the building didn’t have a locked elevator. You have to take the steps to go up and down. However, Sameer helped me carry my luggage and made sure I was safe so I really appreciate that.

Nothing to complain about this hostel. Everything was great and the manager, Sameer, was a pleasure. He cooked us some delicious meals and is very generous. Very friendly atmosphere in the hostel. They can even turn on the water pump for the shower, which is very much appreciated.

It was a little difficult to find the hostel as I arrived at night. I suggest the sign is lit up so people can see. Can I please ask the Hostel to give directions to customers before they arrive on how to locate you- perhaps in Arabic? To help the taxi drivers.

The kitchen is so dirty. Not sure if it was the staff or fellow guest responsible with it. Even the common/public area is not well cleaned. A lot of trash scattered all around.

The location is perfect as it was located in between of Library and Citadel. I was enjoying walking around the streets of Alexandria. The room is spacious but it was dark that made my stay a little sad. It can easily affect your mood. The facilities are complete but lack of maintenance.

Showers had low pressure. Toilets could be cleaner. Smoking area is a big NO from me. People who smoke should go out of the hostel. The smell of smoke filtered into our room which was at the other end of the hostel. Breakfast was ok but not my favourite. No heating. It was very cold at night and windows are left open in the common rooms. It's windy by the sea. There is no lift up to the hostel - It's 2 flights of stairs.

Location is excellent by the seafront. Staff are excellent and friendly. Price for a bed is very reasonable. Comfortable. Charge for teas, coffees & biscuits. 2 common rooms but both very cold to sit in. A guitar for entertainment. Kitchen facilities. Washing facility. You need to pay a 200egp Insurance deposit on arrival which is returned at check out.

Situation in bathrooms is unbearable, both for showering and toilet. Beds could Have been better. Also personally I could not have a bite from breakfast. Be careful with elevator, which I used and had problem with neighbors

The email response to the booking looked like a "legal document" with masses of small print. They could space it out and make it look more user friendly They advertised breakfast at 07h30 but the kitchen staff were never even on duty at that time, so I ate late every morning The WiFi in the room was not working.

Location excellent very friendly staff Staff don't wear name badges so you don't know who is who.
