Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ArgentinaThe variety of fruits in the breakfast was not good enough. The rooms are not too big.
The hotel is not too big, but the location was awesome. You can take the breakfast at the rooftop with a beautiful view of the pyramids. “Dina” offered us a day tour through the pyramids, Giza, and a few more, with a Spanish speaker guide, and it was incredible!

Canada- Very loud refrigerator in the room; - The hotel was losing electricity the whole 1st night and morning, making it hard to sleep because the loud refrigerator was turning off and on constantly throughout the night. Another day it was better. - The water in the shower didn't warm up past the room temperature; - In our case the view out of the window was a hole in the brick wall that led into an area between the buildings. There was no natural light at all as the window didn't go outside at all.
- Good location with the amazing view of pyramids from the rooftop and breakfast area; - Amazing friendly staff; - Complimentary snacks in the evenings; - The breakfast buffet was decent; - They have a good restaurant on the rooftop if you want to have dinner; - The complimentary pickup from the airport.

United StatesHotel kept losing power, especially at night. If this is a normal occurrence, it would be good to get a generator as the stairs are completely dark.
Front desk staff and restaurant staff were fantastic. Hotel was in a great location and the rooftop view of the pyramids is the highlight of the stay. Great facilities

United Kingdom-
Had the most amazing stay here. The staff were very polite and helpful. Especially Dina, she lets us have a complimentary room after check out so that we didn’t have to wait in the lobby. The views from the hotel are amazing, and the restaurant workers are so welcoming. Ali Baba the taxi driver waited for us all day to take us to the airport, showing us around Cairo and telling us the history, he was very kind. All in all, an amazing stay and it definitely made our time better.

United StatesThere was noise from construction in the property adjacent to Great Pyramid Inn. I could hear the banging through the wall all the way up past 10PM. Luckily, I travel with ear plugs for these types of situations.
The hotel location and view of Pyramids greatly enhanced my visit. The staff was excellent from check-in to check-out; they met all my expectations. Much thanks to Aladdin of the front desk for providing very proactive service. He arranged hotel transfer and answered all of my questions.

CanadaThe discomfort during our stay was that there were ongoing renovation activities in some of the rooms and a few of the hotel floors. I believe that's temporary
Facilities at Great Pyramid Inn were exceptional. Location is very convenient in front of the Pyramids and the Spinx as described. Food at their restaurant was great. Breakfast was exceptionally great. There are many options. Will recommend it to everyone planning their next trip to Giza

The hotel is so good . The staffs are very helpful. It's close to the pyramid & new museum . The view from their restaurant is just wooow, amazing. The room we had , had an amazing view of the pyramid & sphinx. It was mesmerising especially during sunset . It's so cool how they put effort to carve egyptian hieroglyphs to every corner of the inns wall too.

FranceWe had two rooms, one which is renovated but no the other. The renovated room was nice and trendy, the other was old. When booking we didn’t know rooms were going to be different, but I must stay both were still comfortable. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming but it’s still great value for money.
The view from the rooftop is absolutely stunning ! The staff is incredibly nice and helpful.
