Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

FinlandAs a vegans husband it would have been nice to have some real vegan options in breakfast. There was only some paprika and cucumber for bread but no spread of any kind for vegan person. There was appels and milk for coffee and those were the vegan choices. My wife is vegan and it affects the hole day if she don't get her breakfast. Little effort goes a long way and updating the breakfast to modern day standards should not be too difficult.
It was peaceful and the location was excellent.

GreeceThe rooms were sealed. It was not possible to open them. This was a major issue, no clean air was possible to get inside, so there was naturally a smell of humidity in the room.
The location was amazing, also the rooms were very clean, there was peace and quite all around, the staff was really friendly and the breakfast was tasty.

IrelandThe receptionist insisted that we didn't choose a 2 bed room even though it very very very clearly said on my email confirmation that it was a "Superior Twin Room ". I showed her, but she still made a fuss and made it awkward. It was rude, disrespectful and unnecessary. For that reason, I would never recommend this hotel.

United KingdomThe breakfast was chaotic. The Coffee machine broke the first morning and the waffle machine was troublesome the second morning. All the electrical gear (including a toaster) were crammed in to a small corner so people who wanted toast or waffles or coffee were crammed in to a corner to queue. The breakfast was adequate but not outstanding.
The hotel and rooms were just as described. Some of the reviews suggested that it was noisy, but this was NOT my experience - there was no noise from outside or from other rooms (at least not enough to keep me awake and certainly not enough to wake me up). Staff were helpful and spoke good English.
