Rooms are a bit dark but it wasnt a big issue for us. Its on a quieter street so walking late at night can be a bit lonely.

Very quaint and unique place as its a historical building. The rooms open into a nice courtyard area as shown in the pictures on Booking. Its very close to the main attractions in the historical zone. Very clean, good breakfast and daliy housekeeping. Very good restuarants are close by. All in all its a really good boutique hotel. They are also able to arrange tours and taxis for guests. Someone is at the front desk 24 hrs which was also good. I would stay here again.

Excellent breakfast, great and helpful staff, comfy beds and location is spot on. This is an excellent choice when visiting Santo Domingo. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Sometimes the electricity would go away, but it boosted back up quickly!

Such a unique hotel, a true blast from the past, in the best way possible. It is a museum/hotel, so it has some information on the walls about the building and the city as well as some artefacts. The rooms each have a private entrance and you get step out into the courtyard from your room. We were in room number 5, it had two hugeeee beds and it was very comfortable. The wifi was great, the bathroom was big. Truly enjoyable experience.

They arranged for a taxi pickup at 1am for our ride to the airport - no problem!

The rooms have small windows and are unfortunately dark. Rooms at the ground floor are located right at the courtyard where breakfast is served right in front of the doors so there is little privacy in the morning.

Perfect location in the town next to a square, the building has a historic charme and it comes with a surprisingly beautiful rooftop although it is not serviced.

We loved the courtyard and the mix of authentic colonial style and comfort! We also enjoyed the rooftop terrace. Our room was clean and spacious and comfortably cool thanks to the AC. The bed was comfy and the breakfast had a great variety of fruits and types of scrambled eggs. We loved the coffee, it helped cure our jet lag. The staff was really friendly and helpful, nevertheless it would have helped if we could have spoken a bit of Spanish. The location was perfect, we were right in the heart of the zona colonial and had everything (supermarket, ATM, restaurants etc.) right around the corner. We highly recommend staying here.

Very nice place to stay in the old city with walking distance to all the sights and yet in a quiet street. It was particularly interesting to stay in a historic place like this and the hotel is very charming. They had a tasty buffet for breakfast.

The bed was one of the most comfortable ones I’ve already slept in. Staff were amazing, ready to help and to give tips. Hotel is gorgeous, a little museum in the middle of the zona colonial.

We loved the place - the location, the atmosphere, peace and quiet. The breakfast was very big and delicious. We appreciate the cordiality and manners of the staff. The room was spacious, facing lovely patio. It was easy to park - around the hotel there were a lot of available parking places.
