Overall it was a beautiful stay although it didn't start on the best foot. When we arrived to the hotel, the young gentleman on the reception didn't seem to be professional in any way, shape or form. When asked to pay, he just took my card and introduce some numbers (without showing us the amount). That was odd enough, as it should be transparent. But it has gotten even odder when the Visa portal clearly asked him in which currency I prefer to make the payment and he tapped it on his own without even asking for my opinion. That was a big no no for me. Afterwards he excused himself saying that they always charge clients in DOP even if the portal allows you to choose currency. We ended up paying way more than we were supposed to. Then he took us upstairs to our room and in front of him ask us to tell him a code we'd like to our lock. Now I know that the reception has access to all of the rooms, but that clearly was abusing a privacy line and we didn't like it. However, everything from there has only gotten better. The rest of the staff were absolutely lovely and helpful and they clearly very caring. On our first morning we mentioned briefly to the lady that was making breakfast that the bed in our room wasn't comfortable and they immediately upgraded us to a suite. It was a very kind gesture that we appreciated a lot. It immensely enhanced our stay. Apart from that we loved the facilities - both the pool and the jacuzzi were absolutely fabulous. Breakfast a la carte was a fantastic option too. So delicious! Location was a spot on, right in the middle of the colonial district. And finally, a small detail but believe me makes all the difference in the scorching heat of DR - a fridge (in the lobby) filled with complementary bottles of water, available for all of the guests of the hotel. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so memorable. I believe we might be back :)

Property was under construction and very dated. Had to change rooms due to roof leak, lost wifi and TV connection several times.

Staff was very helpful Juan and Victor were very attentive and followed up consistently to see if we were enjoying the stay.

We had a really good time, the personal was very kind, thank you Selenia, Katharin, Juan, Joel and Victor! We had a good time, loved the Jacuzzi. It was very quiet to relax and close to the center of the colonial zone. We will come again!

I was assigned Cristobal Colon as my room. The aircon there was my biggest complaint. It kept switching off in the middle of the night - something to do with it being set on a timer, I believe. And it made this very disturbing clicking noise occasionally. The room could definitely have benefited with a kettle or coffee machine, I thought. The shower strength was inadequate, and the dispensers provided no shower gel - only shampoo and conditioner, which was quite odd. Hooks would be a very useful addition to the bathroom.

A lovely and historic property, in the heart of Zona Colonial. The courtyard is a real gem and breakfast there should not be missed. The quaint little pool and rooftop lounge area are nice touches too. The staff were friendly and obliging.

Water pressure in my shower was sometime slow.

The room was clean but there was a problem with the water in the shower which made us almost impossible to shower.

The location is perfect. Very close to the Main Street and they gave us lots of recommendations on what to do and how to move around. The house is also very nice and gives you a local feeling and the staff is always available and friendly. Breakfast is good and there is a variety of choices.

There's not much negative to share - possibly the jacuzzi's inability to warm up, if anything. But even then, the cooler temperatures in the pool were refreshing during the hot afternoon.

The location was great, just steps away from the main action in the Colonial Zone. We felt safe and comfortable the entire time we were there. The staff was attentive, friendly, and extremely helpful in answering our questions. The included breakfast was delicious - we tried all options and loved them all.

The matress it was hard! For what we paid, we expected a more comfortable bed. There was no extra towels available when we asked. There is some water damage in the walls at the living room and bathroom.

The location is great!! The Staff is very polite and are always there for what you need. The property needs tender loving care. The place is great but needs some update and refresh. The matress is hard and uncomfortable. Air conditioning is in excellent condition and water pressure is very good. The breakfast was excellent!!

My friend and I lived in a room with a red canopy over the bed. the room was not the best. Everything looks like in the photo, only 20 years earlier than in the photo. very gray bed, towels blackened in the middle with stains. breakfast was very poor and tasteless. we were there for 2 days and it was my birthday

The hotel is located in a quiet location, with easy access to the city center. The hotel has free bottled water and you can take as much as you want. Not every expensive hotel has such an option with water. it was quiet at night. comfortable mattress.

Both rooms had issues with the AC. My room was too cold at some point during the night and we could not adjust it manually using the remote control because apparently the AC settings are controlled by the reception. My parents' room AC was not working at the beginning, the lady from the reception kindly helped us but unfortunately we did not manage to setup the temperature we wanted.

The house is as shown in the pictures. I only stayed 1 night with my family. The rooms were clean enough, it has a nice pool and terrace and kind staff. It's close to the El Conde street from which we could walk to main attractions in the city center.
