Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomIt seemed a bit odd that on a 5 day stay the towels were changed and room cleaned on day 4. On my check out day, housekeeping came in at 8:00am, no warning no knock on the door while I was still in bed
Location perfect, super clean efficient rooms. Perfect as a base for exploring. Free WiFi was superb

United KingdomIt would be nice to have had water or tea/coffee facilities in the room but that's a minor issue. Somewhat noisy from door bangs as people left or entered adjoining rooms. Whether that is something that can be addressed I'm not sure about.
Communication was excellent and I was grateful for a request I had made to be fulfilled.

New ZealandThe bed was hard up against the wall with no way out but over top of the person next to you. No drawers for unpacking any clothing...just a rack to hang a few things on.
Great location to walk everywhere. Restaurants, supermarket & cafes nearby. Friendly, helpful staff. Self checkin and out feature. Lockers for 20DKK to store luggage prior to checking in. Huge lounge areas with seating for your use. Our room was the cheapest so consequently was very compact. It was fine for 3 days but longer stays could be difficult. The bed was very comfortable, good shower, soundproof walls, room cleaning only on demand (had to be booked the night before), quiet air conditioning.

United KingdomThe only bad thing was that the rooms were set up for one person so my partner and I only had one pillow each. When we asked for a second pillow, we were told they didn’t have any spares.
The location of the hotel was brilliant. It was right in the centre of Copenhagen, really close to the metro station which was only 5 minutes walk away. The staff were all really friendly and helpful too. Also, it was really clean.

New ZealandRooms were very small. We had a standard double room and there was very little room for suitcases. Really unit accommodated for one. I didn’t scan the QR code for information on arrival so did not know you had to let them know via email if you wanted your room serviced… worth others noting!
Very close to Nyhavn and other tourist attractions. Staff were very helpful.

United KingdomShower cubicle a little small. Road works outside that started at 7am. But we're up and ready anyway. The rooms facing onto street can be noisy as there are some sitting out areas in bars opposite. But not a major issue.
Fab location. Close to everything and you can even bring in your own drinks and food and have them in the lounge downstairs. Shower room a little tight but room had air con as well. Be aware DDk20 needed if you want to store luggage in a locker.

GreeceOn the other hand, check-in time is at 15:00 and that’s a problem, because you have to pay if you want to leave your luggage in the reception, while waiting. Also, another negative thing is that, from our room, the view was bad. Products from the reception, like water, are very expensive, but in general Copenhagen is an expensive city.
The hotel Wakeup Copenhagen – Borgergade is a very good choice if you go to Copenhagen for a few days, for example less than five. It’s in the best area, in the center of the city, very close to most of the must-see sights of Copenhagen, so you can go on foot. The price is low regarding to the area, while the price of the majority of the nearby hotels is much higher. All the staff in the reception was very helpful. Especially, a Spanish young woman was very friendly. Also, we had a problem with the window and they fixed it immediately. The room was small, but that was ok, because it is exactly what you need for a few days.
