The bath needs to be renewed and there is a lot of noises due the walking of the people located to the upper floor due to the old infrastructure

The bedroom was basic. No bedside table by one of the beds (no room)

Very well placed to catch, or after, ferry from Norway to Hirtshals. Would also be a good base if exploring the area. Rooms basic but comfortable, and public areas very well presented in Scandi style. Good relaxed breakfast, friendly staff. Well priced.

Decor looks dated but part of the charm. Would have no reservations about recommending to others and I look forward to staying again next year.

Lovely owner,Manager..slept really well.Short walk to beach and good restaurants opposite. Nice relaxed feel to this old Hotel.

A little off the beaten track and away from most facilities in Hirtshals.

A reasonably-priced hotel to stay over in Hirtshals ahead of the ferry to Iceland. Room was nice, plenty of parking, including dedicated motorcycle parking. Comfortable bed, decent shower. Tasteful use of the original old decor. Very friendly staff. Bar.

from check in til check out we were made to feel welcome. we were given good advice about restaurants in the area, along with the tip that we would have to book. clearly service oriented, the owner and her staff were determined that we’d enjoy ourselves whilst there, which we did. the location was also perfect for us. a short walk from the beach and a short drive from the ferry terminal, next time we’ll stay longer.

Somewhat anonymous location.

Top acoustics, air quality and natural sounds. Can sleep with window open and no traffics, gulls, mosquitoes pollution. In morning small birds sing. Tap water taste is premium as well as the breakfast dishes. Neatly optimized and delicious. The natural qualities is normally found in few top rated hotels. I’m really surprised and thankful.

The entire place seem to require a bit of a maintenance. Presently it looks a bit like a neglected summer camp not a hotel, especially the brownish old carpets on the first floor’s korridor and concrete elements in the garden. A simple replacement of corridor’s carpets and a maintenance of concrete garden stairs and elements would improve the look of the place much.

Good location, close to the sea and the beach. A historical place, with drawings on the walls and a grand piano in the lounge:) Spacious and comfortable rooms. Super friendly personell always smiling and keen to help:)

Everything in the location is Vintage in the style of 1895, but very clean and fresh renovated with old materials - just an amazing design with a very good sense for atmosphere. The leader of the hotel tries to make it very comfortable and quiet for the guest and it feels in the best way to be in the style of the olden days. An amazing experience which I didn't expect!

We stayed at the hotel because we took an early ferry to Norway. The hotel doesn’t pretend to be anything else than it is. The rooms are small and basic and you might hear some noise in the hallways (which the hotel warns you about on when hou make a booking). Having said that, the beds are fine, and the rooms are clean. Perfect for a one-nighter.

The members of staff are very kind and accommodating. We enjoyed an excellent breakfast. The lounge is cosy and the entire breakfast area is very nicely decorated.

Unfortunately, they do not serve dinner or afternoon snack, but luckily I arrived in time to enjoy a short walk to the beach and had a nice meal at restaurant Munck. The Hotel is an Old building, with all the ups and downs….loud sounds and loud talking and noises, easily will disturb your neighbour’s peace and quiet.

Charming atmosphere. Personally handpicked decorative items in the interior, a mix of vintage and new. Like arriving to someones private summer cottage. Superfriendly staff. Easy and smooth jazz playing in the background. Great breakfast.
