Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt was very difficult to find - put Sebber Kloster into Google maps rather than the link they supply.
Lovely stable conversion in a peaceful location. Very comfortable rooms and modern renovation. Excellent kitchen facilities with breakfast room and games room.

NorwayWould have liked a way of blocking 1 side of the bed so the kids would not fall out. Also the bathroom light (movement sensor) stays on very long especially after taking a shower. Otherwise great to have other areas at the premises to be (breakfast/meeting area as well as bar/play area and outside terrasses). Was unsure which building our rooms were in but some friendly people helped us.
Good beds, nice location and surroundings. Friendly staff.

SwedenThe only drawback I found was not being able to open a window. I'm obsessed with fresh air when I sleep, but wasn't able to get a window open. Most people probably wouldn't even notice that.
The old cloister turned B&B sits in a stunning landscape. I started every morning with a walk to an overlook behind the church to watch the sun rise behind the pastures. The rooms were simple, but extremely well appointed. The beds being the biggest surprise as the most comfortable ones I've ever slept in on my travels.

Hungaryat 5:50 am the general alarm went off in the whole building. the sound was super loud and we thought that there is fire somewhere. we checked all rooms and tried to contact somebody (phone/voicemail/email) for immediate assistance. I was close to call 112. SHOCKING no response until 9am!!! 3 hours later a gentleman Jesper came but by that time the alarm was off because we aired all rooms. After 1000km travel waking up super early to this is terrible. We would really like to get some compensation because it ruined our stay.
We arrived around 8pm and it was little difficult to find the entry to the rooms. Once we got to the rooms everything was clear and we were impressed with the hygge room, the bed rooms and the bathroom was great too. the water pressure of the shower is superb.

United StatesI liked everything except the fact that we never met the proprietor of this bed and breakfast. We communicated through the booking.com site but we never met or talked to the person who runs the place. The key was in the door when we got there. This wasn't necessarily bad, I simply like to meet the local people. It's the reason I choose to stay in bed and breakfasts.
Sebber Kloster is in an extremely quiet and peaceful location. The room was comfortable. We did not order breakfast there, but there is a nice kitchen and dining area where we made our own breakfast.

BelgiumThe breakfast was not that good, we would have liked a bit more variety. It was available in the fridge when we arrived the first evening, then added for the two next days together filling 70% of the fridge. While the room was newly renovated, the ventilation system in the bathroom was clearly not adapted, it would run for hours due to a wrongly calibrated moisture detector I guess; it was stopping then starting again hours later. We had to cut the power of it every night to be able to sleep. The bed wasn't that good, the pillows were really bad... The roller blinds were white and not even going down till the ground. We had only one paper toilet roll for 3 nights, no spare one available.
The location was very nice for us, we liked being in a calm environment, surrounded by nature. The room was clean and newly renovated
