Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumLighting at both entry door and outside window side cannot be switched off and was still on around 11pm. You have some curtains to block incoming light but not top (lights are strong). There is a nice outside terasse just opposite entrance door but the outdoor chairs have lost much of their paint and are rosty/oxidated. It leaves a bad impression.
Nice spacious room with big bath tube and very comfortable bed. Nice amenities for bath/shower. While I did not take breakfast the room looks very nice with the plane. Parking on site. Staff lacks knowledge of English to guide the guest.

United KingdomOne of the best experience we had. Wonderful rooms, nice decorations. Thank you to the owner for a very late check in. On our way to Legoland supposed to stop in Germany but we decided to travel without stopping. We couldn’t extended the day so we stayed in this little gem for one night. Very good location for Viking museum, Legoland, Lalalandia. Delicious breakfast and small playground for kids.

FinlandAlthough the rooms in our suite were very nice filled with beautiful little details (such as "golden", decorated water taps and so), the cleanliness level could have been a little bit higher. Some pieces of furniture were also a bit worn-out, although nice looking. We opted for eating breakfast in our room instead of the hotel breakfast, but were a bit disappointed with the kitchen equipment. There were no cereal bowls for example, and no coffee maker or micro-wave, as it said on our reservation via Booking. Fridge in the living room was also rather small. This didn't bother so much though, as we adjusted our breakfasts to the kitchen equipment level. Generally our stay was very nice, and the personnel very understanding and helpful, so these are basically just some minor improvement suggestions.
We (a couple in their 40's, a eight years old child and her grandmother) were very happy with our stay in Boutique Hotel Postgården. Usually we book a bit cheaper accomodations, whenever we travel, but this time we decided to invest a bit more, and it was easily worth it. The main bed room/living room in our suite was very spacious. Both queen size beds were extremely comfortable with very good pillows and blankets. Our daughter loved the bath tube in the bathroom. Room's "retro" design and decoration was also nice and memorable. The small town of Holsted was so peaceful and calm, that we slept very well. Our room had a nice roof-top terrace, where we had a couple of breakfasts and suppers with a view to the small river, listening to the birds singing. There was a well-equipped Coop supermarket just two minutes walk away, so it was easy to gather some breakfast rolls and stuff from there. The reason for our stay was the visit to Legoland in Billund. We ended up staying there two full days, so even though we would have liked to use the other hotel facilities - such as massages, wellness treatments and the restaurant - we didn't have time for that. It also would have been nice to know Holsted a bit better, as the small village looked tempting. Anyway, the Boutique Hotel Postgården was nevertheless a good place to stay when visiting Legoland. The drive to Legoland was a bit less than half an hour in the countryside, and the hotel had free parking on site. We didn't have a lot of contact with the personnel, but everything we had, was very friendly, flexible and understanding, so full points on that. We arrived on the first evening later than expected, but they organized someone to stay a bit longer and wait for our late check-in, so extra thank you for that. I can recommend this hotel for families, couples and anybody, who want's some peace and tranquility in a nice environment, or who wants to go to Legoland from not that far away.

EstoniaDid not ruin the overall impression, but a few small things like TV remote not working or some beside lamps without bulbs or some dust in more hidden corners.
