Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomLight bulb not working. The eating area was quite sterile. Not an inviting place to visit the 'bar', no atmosphere, no comfy seating etc.

United KingdomBreakfast might have been a little less chaotic but large numbers are using the space. Otherwise it was a good breakfast with good quality and choice of food. Gluten free and diary free mils available.
staff friendly and helpful. Happy hour included well chosen beers. Really appreciated the free tea and coffee available at any time. comfortable quiet and clean room with all necessary faciliites Location was superb -next to station, Tivoli Gardens and we found all the buses we need to travel around Copenhagen were either side of the station (also 20 mins train to airport). good choice of restaurants, bars, cafes within a few mins walk of the hotel (including a Portugese wine bar on same road 5 mins west).

United KingdomThe property was a little dated and the room smelt a bit like drainage. As it is so central, there was a lot of noise from the streets, but that’s to be expected on a weekend.
The location was great, 2 mins from the central station and not a far walk from any of the main attractions. Room was very spacious. Staff were lovely and very helpful, we checked in late (11:30pm) and were able to store our bags on the final day.

IndonesiaNothing but room size. Everything else was perfect.... I can understand the room can be quite small as well so I should have checked in advance regarding room size and I take this was my mistake during booking. So I am not complaining in regards to room size... I accept this was my mistake during pre booking.
Room is small, I didnt expect this to be extremely small. Luckily I am a small person so this does not bother much but I guess this would be inconvenient for someone with bigger body size.

UkraineThe smell from the sewage in the toilet room was sometimes quite strong.
Very friendly and polite staff!!! Talking to each of the staff made me smile. I liked that your room was cleaned upon request, even if it needed to be done earlier than scheduled. The breakfasts are delicious and there is a choice for every taste! The location is just great! The city center: subway, train station, amusement park, museums - everything is close at hand and it is easy to get where you need to go. The room is nice, bright, and the bathroom is spacious.

Sweden- The hotel is old style and lack of maintenance. squeezed, not so much space in public area. - The toilet in the room is smelly, probably is due to the sewage. The ceramic and the sink look damaged, doesn't feel clean. - The breakfast area is too full in the rush hour, which made the breakfast time not very calm. - The level below the ground floor is smelly, probably due to the storage room there.
- The location is great, only two minutes walk from the Central station. - The kind and cheerful reception staff, are willing to help all the time. - The wide range of the breakfast choices, is value for money. - The room facing to the garden at the top floor, is quiet and comfortable.

Czech RepublicUnfortunately, we were not informed upfront about night heavy construction work that was happening one night between 22:00-4:00. Apparently this is a common practice in the HYGGE country not to let you sleep properly to avoid traffic jam during the day. Taking into consideration that everything was done during 6 hours, I don't think the traffic jam was going to be so bad... Anyway, have to say that the hotel staff offered a compensation what I complained about not being able to sleep due to the noise.
The location is great, very close to the Central station and to the metro. Everything is in a walking walking distance, the main attractions such as Tivoli garden and city centre. The hotel itself appears as a quiet place, even though we had our room right in front of the elevator it was very quiet.

United KingdomThe bathroom got a little wet, because of feeble shower curtain and there was no kettle in the room.
Fantastic location in central Copenhagen and friendly, helpful staff. The bed in our family room was mega comfortable. Free tea and coffee available in the restaurant 24 hours a day (which made up for lack of kettle in room)
