Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

UkraineThe garbage under the bed was not removed (some tin cans and chips). Smudges of dirt on the inner surface of the door. The key to the front door was missing from our bundle (other rooms had two keys each).

DenmarkThe place was suuuuper dodgy. The entrance “hall” was a big empty room that looked like an abandoned store. The walls were quite thin and I’m pretty sure I saw some mold through the cracks in the ceiling panels. Also the room was super humid and hot with only one window so I couldn’t really air out the place. Never met the staff. The key was simply in the door when i arrives.

Big kitchen for the guests, everything very clean. Bathrooms were very clean. No staff, 24 hours check in.

IndonesiaNo staff. So much stairs and very isolated. Level 1 is not finished, even the level 2 where it is at has many broken things. Many dirty things in the kitchen and a few dirty things in the room. Lock and general feel has an unsafe vibes.

NorwayHORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! We got home after 22:00 and tried to access the hotel, only to come back to locked doors. It doesnt clarify in the property policies that you cannot access your rooms after 22:00, but apparantly that was a thing. We tried to call the owner of the hotell but the only respons was that "he couldnt help us" and then HE TURNED OFF HIS PHONE.. LUCKILY I had my car keys in my purse, so we could at least stay warm in my car until 0700 - this is when the doors opened and we could get inside.. We booked a new hotel right away after this traumatic night with no sleep and asked kindly for a refund, but we only got 1 out of 3 nights refunded!? WE BARELY GOT TO SLEEP THERE ONE NIGHT! Day 1: After 22.00 we had to call the mall security to let us in, which was not specified anywhere in the description. He showed us to an outside door which had padlocks on it inside, so we couldn't get in even though we had the key. It took us 45 minutes to get into our room because security had to call his boss and the alarm company. After we got in we were told we COULD NOT LEAVE OUR ROOMS because of the alarms being turned on again. The security said they could not promise they could let us in the next day. We called Booking.com who called the owner and were guaranteed they would let us in again the next night. Day 2: This is the night that I described above.. The second night the mall security said they had gone home, and we called the owner. He said he couldn't help because he was in Copenhagen. Eventually he turned OFF his phone(!) and we were forced to stay the night outside of the hotel, with no other hotels nearby available. Overall review; Please do reconsider when booking here! The bathrooms were dirty, there were no towels - barely any toilet papers. The entrance to this hotel looks like an abandoned shop. There IS NO FIRE ESCAPE after 22:00, so if a accident should happen you're basically on your own. The owner is also very disrespectful...
This is the worst stay I've ever experienced through booking.com.. How little help we recieved when we needed it the most is alarming!

BrazilLoud noise coming from the neighborhood, light directly on our face as the window is on the ceiling, no elevator (it’s only about 30 or so steps, but we had a lot of luggage), price a bit high for what is offered but
It’s located inside a shopping center so there are a lot of shops, restaurants close by, train station 2 minutes away, you can do your laundry free of charge, the kitchen is equipped to cook, the staff person we met was very nice and let us check in a bit earlier.

SwitzerlandSketchy neighbourhood and we were not feeling safe having our van parked there. When you want to enter your hotel room after 10pm, you need to call someone and then the security guard let‘s you enter when you show them the booking confirmation. He said there were a lot of attempted breakins in the hotel too. Asp, hotel entrance is a dirty construction side.
