Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

SwedenThe biggest issue for us was that the walls were pretty thin. We could hear people talking and opening and closing doors. Also the ventilation in the room was not good, it got really stuffed and warm but thankfully we could open the balcony and get fresh air inside.
It is in a very good location, close to shopping, restaurants and public transport. The reception was always open and we could store our bags all day after checking out. Our room also had a really nice balcony with a great view.

Great location close to the Zoo with U Bahn, bus, local and regional trains at all hours. Friendly welcome. Good sized room with a fan included was helpful in the warmer weather.

NetherlandsNot sure if this is because we got a room on the top floor (hence only rooftop windows in the room), but the windows were not openable at all. Hence, it could feel quite stuffy inside the room without the AC on. And the internet connection is unreliable at best, and not unusable/unreachable at all at worst, which was what happened to me and my friend throughout most of our stay there. Even when we managed to connect to the internet, connection was so slow that we barely managed to use google.
The location was really nicely situated in the center of the shopping district. However, it is quite far from central berlin (where a lot of the tourist hot spots were). There is an AC in the room so heat isn't a problem (we didn't use the heater as it was middle of the summer so can't comment on how well it works). The staff seems to be friendly. The free taxi service from the airport to the hotel is also very much appreciated/handy.

NorwayThe coffee at the breakfast buffet had some room for improvement. The stairs from the reception area and up to the floor where the room was situated was just horrible, and I dreaded going down every time, especially carrying my luggage. The pillow was useless, had to make my own using some of my clothes.
Breakfast was great, with good selection of hot and cold options, sweet and savoury. Loved that the room had an empty fridge for storing water etc. Very interesting old decor in common areas, especially the ceilings. Great location. Reasonably clean. Great price considering last-minute booking during football championships. Room was facing inner courtyard and relatively quiet, except the one evening after Turkey won a football match and there seemed to be an extremely loud street party outside.
