Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Great location only a short walk from the train station and Great value for money. Our room was clean and spacious while the bed was a little soft which is exactly the way we like it. The Bathroom room was a great size and the shower powerful. The cafe downstairs had excellent coffee and pastries.

United KingdomReceptionist lacking interest, to the point they lead me to believed everything was paid up, and even said to leave the key in the box provided when we left if they were busy, which they were, when in fact they hadn’t taken payment! This lead to some difficult messages informing me that I hadn’t paid. I had left a credit card assurance with Booking.com but this wasn’t used. Booking.com informed me I’d left without paying but then failed to respond to any of my questions. Definitely think twice before using them again. I eventually made contact with the hotel, not without some difficulty and sorted the problem.

Great location right next to the train station, bus and ferry terminal. The rooms were modern, comfortable and offered plenty of space. I had a room with a view on the water and a comfortable bench seat in the window. Very friendly and helpful staff - I arrived late and they told me about restaurants close-by with the kitchen still open. The café that is in the lobby is excellent.

Great, responsive people at the front desk who made us feel welcome. Loved the vibes and decor of the hotel, plus it has a nice cafe at the lobby. It's very conveniently located near the Hauptbahnhof with ease of access to transport options (train/ferry/bus) and a range of food/shopping within walking distance.
