I thoroughly enjoyed my Heidelberg trip and the hotel definitely increased my enjoyment.

While it was more than fine for a solo traveler, the room might be a bit too small for duo travelers. One downside to the location was the fact that there was no option to park at the hotel and nearby parking garages proved to be very expensive if you're not careful.

The breakfast was definitely exceptional. Besides the regular options of eggs, bacon and charcuterie, it also featured some very delicious bread with some blue cheese that went along perfectly with it. The hotel is also ideally located in the center of Heidelberg yet easily reachable by car.

Room used as a single but designated as a double, a good sized single, very small double. No coffee or tea making facilities (as per 99% of German hotels). Single quilt on double bed. Creaky floorboards. No air con (fine at time of this visit but surely necessary in mid summer). Very importantly, no lift. No safe. No pastries or fresh fruit at breakfast. No 'sitting area' as advertised, just a plastic chair next to the wardrobe.

Great location. Efficient staff. Breakfast quite good (bacon & scrambled egg featured). Rooms very clean. Excellent shower. Bed very comfortable. Welcome bottle of water was appreciated.

The only downside was that it got quite cold at night and it felt like the heating didn’t totally compensate. Under my two blankets there was nj issue, but getting out of bed was tough!

Wonderful space and great staff. The morning breakfast was particularly good.

    Nothing for us.

Location was in centre of city, great for getting around. Our rooms were spacious, clean and daily breakfast was more than adequate. Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay there again.

There was nothing to mention here.

It's a really phantastic place, close to the pedestrian zone of Heidelberg, lovely restaurants and shops in the neighborhood. Busses and trams nearby. The hotel was great, we were warmly welcomed even in the late evening, a nice and cosy room, very comfortable. Great breakfast. Wonderful and modern atmosphere at a traditional place. Strongly recommended.

My stay began on a very hot weekend. The room was south-facing and so became very hot. Traffic noise made it impossible to open the windows. The hotel did, however, provide a fan which gave some help. Be aware that there is no lift - this did not seem to be made clear in the hotel description.

Well-located with major public transport terminus just outside, and on the edge of Heidelberg's old town. Very large room with good view, and a kettle to make tea and coffee. Well-appointed bathroom. Breakfast buffet was excellent with very good choice and selection. Staff were always very friendly and helpful.

No lift and a rather surly guy on reception.

Position, position, position. Plus the room was a very generous size and the bed was very comfortable plus the bathroom was newish and everything in it worked okay. The breakfast room was quite quaint too.

If you travel with heavy luggage, it may be a bit of a challenge because there is no elevator at the hotel.

The location is wonderful! We went for a Light and Fireworks show in Heidelberg and wanted to stay overnight. The hotel is in a walking distance to the event. It very central, clean, and comfortable. It served us perfectly for our need. Breakfast is good, we had eggs, bacon, ham, bread, cheese, cereal and all you need for breakfast. The staffs are friendly.

Nothing bad to say about my stay. The only annoying thing was how loud the wood floor was and every time someone closed the door, the whole building shaked

Lovely hotel right in the center of Heidelberg. The location is amazing, the room was very big and cozy, the bed is huge and comfortable. Everything very very clean. Great breakfast

We liked everything but the weather was exceptionally hot and be warned there is no air conditioning. We had a fan in the room. Opening a window would just be letting in hot air and we had to keep the curtains closed. We didn't see an elevator. Not a problem for us, but someone with more luggage to carry might need help on the higher floors.

Lovely room. I think we were in a Junior Suite. It was large and had a comfortable couch as well as a good sized bed. The mirror frame of, I think, reclaimed wood was very grand. Most unusually for a German hotel, in our experience, there was a kettle in the room. The breakfast was nice, too. The guy in charge was busy refreshing supplies the whole time. He put small portions of everything out and then brought fresh when needed. This meant everything was freshly prepared. This included bacon, eggs, sausages, cheese, cold meats, cereal, yoghurt... The location is really central, across from Galeria Kaufhof. This was great for shopping, but a little noisy at night, especially on the first floor.
