Great location but everything else was average

It wasn't clear upon arrival, but there is no official hotel check-in desk, but once asking someone working in the restaurant, it was settled easily.

The location is great. The breakfast is acceptable (not great, but acceptable for this price range). The staff were very helpful in checking in. One just tells someone working in the restaurant that you are checking into the hotel (and then they were very quick to help even during busy dinner hour when I arrived.)

Room was not ready for us (our bed was “broken” and we had to wait until late that evening for it to be fixed), the sofa bed for my daughter was not made nor were linens provided (we made do) and some of the facilities in the room were not in working order

The room was very small, but what was worse was that Everett was a smoker terraced right in front of the room which impacted my privacy. People were there even in the evening.

The restaurant was very good a Nd so was the location.

Very old and unconfortable matresses .Floor of the room started vibrating at 7:45 (washing machine in action below). Very old curtains did not allow to block light which was kept on outside till 23:00 . Could not find a functional fire escape. other than the old original staircase.

We should have asked for a first floor room, as stairs quite difficult for people of 70+However brilliant staff who insisted on carrying our cases!!

A perfect location in the heart of Freiburg. A lovely outdoor restaurant on the premises. It was a lovely, quirky place with a great atmosphere. A good breakfast.

The rooms are just above a restaurant, which seems to be the main activity. In our case we were quite lucky with the orientation of the room, but it can get quite noisy in the evening. The personnel seems to be more busy with the restaurant than with hotel clients.

The location is excellent, perfect to visit Freiburg on foot. Our room, actually a family suite, quite large an comfortable, well furnished and with excellent taste. Everything was very clean.

The staff needed to pay attention to how many guests were on the booking and provide correct towels & toiletries each day and make up another bed. As we had a little kitchen, tea, coffee and milk could have been put into our room. If you have heavy bags or are not fit you might not like the stairs but a young man will help if you find him.

This hotel, central in the old district, is an attractive older cosy building with a collection of interesting artifacts around the restaurant section. It is a very popular eating and drinking spot, the food is home style cooking so not fancy but good tasting. There a social hum you can hear when in rooms but not objectionable. There was no noise from other guests but we were in a top room.

Everything was fine. Staff were very busy (a popular place) so there was a bit of waiting around, and no one refreshing or clearing tables at breakfast, but we weren't in a rush so it didn't matter to us.

Delightful, traditional hotel in great location. Very scenic. Nice room with simple facilities but had everything we needed. Lovely duvets and pillows (I think they were feather)

its an amazing location, right in the center of the town. The rooms are located right on top of a restaurant, which is nice. The only issue one could have might be the missing vegan option concerning the food.

The location is very central in Freiburg, there was some noise outside the window (on a Monday night). It may be noisier on weekends.

Great location next to the canal. The restaurant serves regional specialties. The family suite was spacious and well-equipped with a basic kitchen (fridge, kettle) - useful to have.

Great quiet location on the edge of the old town, adjacent to the narrow channeled stream. A lovely old building with character. Only 7 hotel rooms.
