TV Damaged, owner offered to swap rooms, we declined as we were near lift.

Location, was a nice short walk to the Cathedral. Breakfast was excellent. Parking underground across the street. Had a lift.

The only problem was that the main door opened to a street that was not accessible by taxi(or at least not reachable by Uber)So at the time of arrival and departure when we had our luggages it was a bit difficult to walk to the other side of the block. However, it was not that far away.

The room was small but clean and comfy. They took care of our luggages for several hours after our checkout which was really nice and helpful. The location is very good…within walking distance of the center.

I booked a room with my 5 years old daughter and was given a single bed we had to share , when we asked for a bigger bed room, was proposed to pay 30€ extra. The hotel advertises free stay for children until 6, and it was a first time ever I was actually given a single bed for that price. The hotel is old, rooms are small and lacking air, the staff isn’t welcoming or friendly (apart from one girl , working halftime), we didn’t want to stay even extra minute longer than needed. Breakfast room is tiny, it’s hard to move around, even though we had to arrange the exact time when we would have our breakfast (again, with a small child, that’s not relaxing at all, to predict when you wake up and be ready for food).

Good location, right by the main train station and near all the tourist attractions. Good variety of food for breakfast.

I had a room on the 4th (last floor) - balcony is shared with the next room. As there are no AC, people tend to have windows open and you may hear each other if talk aloud.

Very close to the cathedral, but not right next to it, so the neighborhood is very quiet at night. Main tourist spots are in walking distance or accessible by transport.

There was a property across the street from the hotel where construction work is being carried out at the moment. Obviously the hotel doesn't have control over this. The work started at about 7am the morning that I was there (a Friday). Maybe check with the hotel before booking if the loud construction noise is still going on, and if they work on the site at weekends. Because apart from the construction noise from across the street, everything else about the hotel was great.

I had to book this hotel at short notice after my previous accommodation cancelled my stay at short notice. The hotel offered a good value at short notice, given that it came during Euro 2024. I didn't have the buffet breakfast, but it looked quite nice. The bed was very comfortable, and although there wasn't much room between the end of the bed and the wall in my room, the room had everything needed.

For me the bed was quite uncomfortable.

Location is perfect for the central station, city center with shopping streets and the cathedral. The room was basic but nice and everything was clean. The staff was very friendly. There was some free fruit at reception that one could take.

All room amenities are basic. But price tell what you should expect. Elderly Staff (father) maybe a bit cool, but his sons (younger men were nice.

As Koln room rate is not cheap as a tourist city in general, pay US13 more and you can get a single room with private bath instead of dormitory bed of hostel. Really can’t complain for it. It’s quite worth for solo traveler. Room is a bit old in facilities but clean in basic, quite similar to student dorm (in terms of single room). Location is good just one metro stop to Dom. (Can even by foot for 15-20 minutes). Have supermarket within 5 minutes on foot.

The hotel and room itself were really basic. It's fine if you just need a place to lay your head for a night but you wouldn't want to spend much time there.

The breakfast here was surprisingly good! Plenty to choose from and all delicious.

There was a Booking platform glitch (maybe?) ... Upon booking, I thought I made sure booking a room with breakfast included in the price (this is always my policy... I want to be sure I start the day with a good and nice breakfast). I usually check before paying that the final amount included breakfast... Upon our arrival, we were asked to pay the breakfast again (quite the unexpected expense for 2 persons, for almost a week) and we did not received yet our bill or explanations for the situation (the last day we tried to speak on several occasions with the manager, but there was nobody around...).

The furniture is a bit old and used.

An excellent breakfast with a lot of vegetables and fruit options, the presentation of food was amazing, it exceeded our expectations. Clean sheets and towels, very comfortable bed. Good value for the money. They were very kind and offered us a place to store our bicycles.
