It was my first time solo travelling and I was made to feel welcome by the staff and fellow travellers. A brilliant start to my travels.

There really weren’t many downsides, the only I can think of is their bathrooms could use a refresh and it’s not walkable if you want to hit bars after hours.

Sandino Summer camp feels like you’d expect it to feel, warm and friendly. The sleeping quarters were spacious, and the outside area really fosters a unique space to meet other travelers; This was the best part about it. Having access to the M5 tram allows you to be into the city center in under 20 min, after that you can head anywhere in Berlin. Top notch stay in my opinion.

Everything is perfect there! The staff is lovely and friendly. Always with predisposition to help you. The common areas are very cosy and comfortable with space to make your food, rest or just socialise there. There is a ping pong table as well.

It is a little bit far from city centre but it is worth staying.

Out of all the places I have visited till date, staying in this hostel was the best experience for me ever. This hostel is run by two young and pretty ladies and they treat you like your family. It is not like typical hostels which are sometimes dirty and messed up but you get a homely experience and specially their rooster willy is also really friendly and he would definitely like to get some pets from you haha. There is a bonfire night everyday at which people staying in the hostel interact with each other and moreover their staff makes sure all the time that everything is neat and clean for our use. There is much more to write but I will stop haha.

I loved the atmosphere and good hospitality and the gathering around the campfire in the garden and the chatter. I got to know great people from different backgrounds. It was such an exceptional experience 🙂

My only criticism is the lack of shampoo. Otherwise the hostel was perfect.

Great atmosphere. The nightly bonfires are a great way to bond with fellow (solo) travellers. Located near public transit, food and grocery options, and the Stasi prison museum. The staff are super friendly and made the place feel like home.

The owner and all the staff were very kind and helpful! Receptionist welcomed us amazing! I've never seen that clean community place in my life. Bathroom was always super clean. Everyone was very friendly in the camp. I visited Berlin so many times but it was my best experience ever! This place will be my destination again! I highly recommend!

Our own fault, but we should have been prepared for the thin walls of the tent. Forgot to put in the earplugs. This place had such character everything was bearable anyway.

A couple of nights in a tent, what a great experience! The host is hilarious, with his chicken on his shoulder at reception, and the chickens around the place and as a theme. They were really encouraging of a community atmosphere. Everyone is welcome to sit around the firepit or in the lounge area to socialise. This place has the right idea about how to create a friendly backpacking environment.

From there it takes a while to get to the centre, around 40min in trams which are often overcrowded. But also means youre in a quieter area, so thats good.

Very nice social hostel with a nice common area and kitchen. Campfire every night.

A slightly different dimension. Very atmospheric. Chickens running in the other part of the yard. In the evenings, there was a fire and lamps, which gave a nice atmosphere. A place worth visiting just for the atmosphere, as if time had stopped in one place.

Realy lovely place with a homely vibe. Really pretty communal areas, felt really welcoming and wholesome. Your wouldn't expect such a lovely green sanctuary in an otherwise plain urban neighbourhood. Brilliant dorm room (loved the carpet!), nice staff and decent bathroom/shower situation.
