Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

PolandConvenient location, close to a metro station and bus stops, making it easy to reach the center of Berlin. The SachsenHof area seemed safe. My room was comfortable and quiet. The breakfasts were classic but tasty. I didn’t need anything more. There is an option to make coffee or tea in the afternoons – a very nice gesture from the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel and will definitely recommend it. Thank you for the hospitality :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the spacious room with cozy beds and a modern bathroom, which enhanced our overall experience. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, accommodating all our inquiries and requests with kindness. The breakfast provided a superb experience with a wide range of delicious options, meticulously prepared to perfection.

Great, peaceful hotel in the colourful but safe and pleasant neighbourhood. Good connections to all over Berlin. Tasty breakfast served to noon.

Location a hop & a skip away from Ubahn directly to Potsdamer Platz etc. We had a 4 bedroom for not much more with plenty of space and seating. We liked the option of secure off street parking as we travel in a SUV. At night its quiet. Breakfast was nice.

DenmarkThe Hotel is old and the rooms are "cold" i.e. a bit boring, but I didn't expect that much more. The room has some lockers that are quite rustic and noisy to be honest. The Hotel hallway had doors separating the areas, these doors were very noisy when people came and left, and I had one of these doors right outside my room! That was a bit annoying considering people also used them at nighttime and early morning. Luckily I had earplugs.
The hotel was ok and met my expectations somewhat.

Great location with lots of bars and a lovely cafe opposite (Vicky’s), and a two minute walk from Nollendorfplatz U-bahn station. Twin room not the biggest but had everything we needed, apart from maybe a kettle and tea/coffee, and very clean. Bathroom very good, super powerful shower, which was highly appreciated after running the marathon! Breakfast while not the cheapest (€14) was a very good selection, and I liked you could just choose to have it or not and then pay at the end of your stay. Free coffee in the bar area 2pm-7pm.

PolandГель для душа пахне і адчуваецца, як самы танны сродак для мыцця посуду. Не ведаю дзе яны яго ўзялі, але я ім на ўсялякі выпадак галаву не мыў. На ложках даволі такі малыя коўдры, і гэта б не было праблемай, калі б пакой не быў бы даволі прахалодны. Ну й як я ўжо згадваў, ноччу можа быць даволі голасна звонку і ў спалучэнні з прабуджэннямі пасярод ночы, з-за таго што нейкая частка цела замерзла апынуўшыся не пад коўдрай, атрымліваеш лёгкі недасып.
У атэля добрая лакацыя - зусім побач адразу чатыры лініі метро, то даехаць кудысці праблемы няма. У ста метрах ад атэля ёсць клуб Metropol, то ўсім аматарам спаць у ноч з суботы на нядзелю ў цішы - лепей гэты варыянт не разглядаць. Таксама ў кавярні можна знайсці бескаштоўную мінеральную ваду, і дадаткова, калі пашанцуе, зрабіць кавы (нам не пашанцавала). Ванны пакой чысты, ды й увогуле бачна, што персанал не цураецца як мага часцей прабірацца. Кошт за атэль адносна шчодры ў параўнанні з іншымі варыянтамі.

United KingdomThere were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Although tea and coffee are free downstairs, it would have been nice to have a tea/coffee when we woke up. Minor point, as we didn't watch it much, but the TV only showed terrestrial, mainly German TV. There was no Netflix or streaming.
Location is great. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. Ours looked out onto the garden which meant we were able to open the windows, which was also a big bonus. The bathroom had a full suite and was modern. The shower was good and it was nice to have the option of a bath.
