The touchscreen on the self-check-in automat didn't register touches too well, which makes one have to be really focused when using it.

The room was small and comfy. The bathroom, while shared with other rooms, was nice and clean. There were fresh towels provided. The process of check-in and check-out was uncomplicated and fast. I didn't eat breakfast there, so can't say anything about that. But for the money I paidE it was well worth it.

The room overlooks a street that is not very busy at night, but across the street is a restaurant whose visitors make noise until the early hours of the morning. You cannot sleep with an open window. Although when closed, it has good sound insulation. It could be a problem in summer because there is no AC.

The metal supports for the glass shelf below the bathroom mirror were bent down, so it was unusable. The showerhead was also so blocked with calcification that it hardly worked.

There’s a Greek restaurant connected to the hotel… I went there for a drink the 1st night of my stay… For 1 beer, 1 schnapps, and 1 miserably looking tiny plate of taramosalata, they charged me 23€… I know how prices have gone up everywhere but this is outrageous… The 2 Greeks on duty were furthermore very boorish… Fortunately the breakfast was very good

The location, staff and breakfast were all great. Having stayed in many hostels and dormitories with shared shower and bathrooms over the years it is just very rare to get a set up of 1 toilet and shower for the whole floor and then on top of that in the same room ( imagine a regular hotel bathroom but for the whole floor). So you really have to get your timings right especially in the morning as there is also no sink in the room. However, taking everything into consideration I still think the price for a twin room was fair as it also included a great breakfast and very good location. Nevertheless, I personally would choose the youth hostel next time around.

Breakfast was good enough for that price. Location is excellent. The room was noisy - however I always travel with ear plugs so that wasn't really an issue.

I could barely fit through the shower doors. The room was not cleaned during my stay.

The staff are professional but not particularly friendly. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was very good and had a wide variety of choice. The hotel is centrally located to the old town close to the Margravial Opera House - but far away from the large festival house.

The room had obviously been broken into before we arrived and the lock (internal) did not operate so we could not lock up at night. However as there was a card entry system we were fairly safe. The room that was without toilet and shower and I think the fact that this was the case should be stated more prominently on the description since the toilet was accessible from five separate rooms and Was very convenient to say the least! Perhaps we should have expected this because of the value for money price.

The main problem was the complete lack of curtains in the room: at night the bypassers can see all in your room, in the morning, the day light wakes you up. The room is rather basic. In August, during the Wagner festival, prices are really inflated

The location is great, very close to the historical centre and a nice 2 km walk to Wagner Opera House (Bayreuther Festspielhaus). Breakfast buffet is sumptuous.

The shower was dangerous, and I nearly fell when I took my first step. The room is so bare--no personality. A lamp would have been nice, maybe a painting or photo on the wall. The towels were thin. Only one mirror. The worst thing was the method of getting a room key--so impersonal. And trying to use it took several attempts and the help of another guest. No one to greet me at a reception desk.

Breakfast was good, except after about two days, the lox was taken off the buffet because it was "too expensive" to provide. The rolls and croissants, and, surprisingly, the coffee were all good. Some of the cold cuts looked "iffy" and I only ate salami. The eggs were terrible--looked like they were cooked the night before. Evgeny was very nice.

They had no parking of any sort provided. However, the gentleman who supervised breakfast gave me excellent tips for free parking on the streets of the neighborhood. Channel selection on the TV was not good -- I only had about 6 channels although cable appeared to be set up for hundreds of channels. Management knew nothing about the cable. Also the shower stall is built for thin people. I am on the heavy side and had to squeeze myself in as best I could.

Breakfast was very good and so was the location -- one block from the Rotmain Center.

No check in staff, had to be done on a computer in the corridor which then issued you a key. Bedroom very dated, paid for a bedroom with a double bed and a single bed in it, and ended up with a room with 3 x single beds, but only 1 x set of bedding. Bathroom dirty, no air conditioning, and curtains wouldn't cover the windows. Very lumpy bed. Tried to get breakfast, but they closed at 9am. Noone to speak to, to complain.
