Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

ArmeniaThe location is good related to the center, but it's bad in all other things.. The station trains are moving 24/7, the overall surroundings are pretty bad. But for the price, the location is good. Just keep in mind that you may not be able to fall asleep, if you can't stand loud noises of people and trains. Wasn't a problem to me since I was tired

The receptionist was incredibly friendly, making sure everything was clear and responding quickly to any needs. The location is convenient, especially if you're staying for just one night and need to be close to the station for easy travel.

IrelandOne evening we were entering our hotel at around 9pm and there was a drunk person sitting on the door step blocking the door. If I was travelling without my boyfriend, I would not be comfortable staying here.
The woman working at the reception was lovely and friendly. The location was good.

MexicoSadly, the WiFi never worked in our room, when we went to let the lady know, we found fellow travelers in the hallway, they couldn’t connect to the WiFi either… it was a little disappointing specially since we do remote work so we had to use cellular data, which just became inconvenient. Honestly didn’t want to bring it up, since when we let the lady know she was so nice about it and apologized, but it is definitely something to take into account. Otherwise it was pretty good all along.
Lady at the front desk was beyond nice, she explained everything we needed to know and helped us by making everything super fast since we had to be elsewhere. They have an elevator. Room is pretty spacious and the bed was comfortable, also we had a mini fridge, sink, and desk in the room. Right next to the HBF and a metro station, as well as tram and bus. Pretty much perfect location. Multiple shops and a lot of things to do right next door pretty much.
