We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Location was fantastic near the lake and residential area which is very quiet and local. Peter the host was very friendly and tried his best to communicate with us and told us the rich history about Berg. The room was so clean and the common kitchen was so organised and has everything you need. You can put your groceries in an assigned storage box in the fridge. We enjoyed the five nights there and will recommend anyone wants to explore the lake in Munich.

Everything looked new and fresh and it was incredibly clean. The owners have provided a kitchen which has indoor and outdoor seating, a coffee maker, a hob and a microwave, dishwasher, providing all the necessary cups cutlery etc. The area was exceptionally pretty.

Everything was perfect. This was a return visit for us because last year was so enjoyable we had to come back. It is a family run hotel, and the owners will make time to have a conversation with you, and they are very pleasant. It was really nice using the kitchen with the large doors opened to the outside part of the dining area and having a long relaxing breakfast each morning. Great location with a short walk to the beautiful clear lake for a swim. We are planning a longer stay on our next visit.

LatviaRoom was clean and spacious, we had a private bathroom and a balcony. There was also a shared kitchen, which came handy, the fridge was divided by rooms, with each room having a personal box to store your food. The staff were amazing, always smiling and always there to help.

United KingdomI have a particular problem with sleeping unless the room can be made dark with curtains or blinds which block most of the light. I wake up much too early. The Sewald didn't have adequate blinds in this respect. Not everyone has this problem so I can't blame them but it is a fact that good hotels have blackout curtains.

NorwayThe pension Sewald is situated in the peaceful and beautiful area of Berg just south of Munchen. We were very well received by a the host, Peter. A very friendly chap, always with a smile on his face ready to help us in every way. The room was nice and spotless clean. The beds were excellent, and gave us good nights sleep. There is no breakfast available, but in the generous and well equiped kitchen/dining area we could help ourself to whatever we needed. Highly recommended.

AustraliaIt's a little difficult to get meals if you don't have a car as the nearest restaurant is about 5km but you could get back on the 961 bus back into Starnberg to find a restaurant.
The rooms were lovely, newly renovated with quality fittings. The owners could not have been more helpful, even brining in a friend from nearby to translate for us as the owners only speak a little English (of course :) ). I can't recommend it highly enough. The location near the Votive Chapel is gorgeous.

The owner/receptionist was very nice. although he said his English was not good, it was enough to make us welcome and show us the facilities. Very clean and spacious rooms and well equipped kitchen. Nice outside seating for eating breakfast.
